On the afternoon of August 22, Comrade Tran Duy Dong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a working meeting to review plans for the 72nd Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Hung Temple (September 19, 1954 – September 19, 2026) and the inauguration of the monument “Uncle Ho with the National Festival.” The session also covered organizational frameworks for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Tourism Year 2027, as well as operational plans for the Provincial Arts and Cultural Center in Viet Tri Ward and the Provincial Theater in Vinh Phuc Ward.

According to the proposal, the 72nd Anniversary and monument inauguration are scheduled for September 18–19, 2026, at the Hung Temple Historical Relic Area. The event aims to honor President Ho Chi Minh’s memorable advice—“The Hung Kings built the nation; we must together defend it”—while expressing gratitude, fostering national solidarity, and promoting the image of the Ancestral Land. The highlight will be a special art performance on the evening of September 18, 2026, jointly produced with the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Political Work. The official commemorative ceremony and monument inauguration will take place on the morning of September 19, 2026.

Concluding this item, Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized that this represents a major political and cultural event for the province in 2026. He instructed all departments, branches, and localities to coordinate closely and complete all preparations. Political activities and promotional campaigns across media platforms and digital channels must be intensified to highlight Uncle Ho’s enduring message and the significance of the monument. He tasked the Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board with completing all landscape infrastructure at the Hung Temple site before August 30. Phu Tho Newspaper and Radio-Television Station were directed to produce specialized coverage and prepare for live broadcasting. Meanwhile, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was requested to finalize the plan for the Provincial People’s Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Tourism Year 2027, the proposed framework spans three key phases: “The Origin” (January 1 to before April 7, 2027), “The Convergence” (April 7 to 16, 2027, corresponding to the 1st to 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), and “The Spread” (from post-April 16 through the end of 2027).

Alongside traditional ceremonial rituals, festive activities will feature the “Essence of Origins” art program with drone light shows, the “Convergence of Cultural Heritage” showcase, street folk cultural parades, fireworks, a marathon, boat races, the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup, and the “Phu Tho Integration” diplomatic forum. Key regional events will also be integrated, such as Tam Dao summer tourism, the Song Da fish-praying ceremony, Mien Doi terraced fields festival, and Northwest community tourism activities. Chairman Tran Duy Dong urged thorough, dignified, and focused preparation, emphasizing the mobilization of socialized resources for media promotion, with all feedback to be completed before August 30 for party leadership approval.

For the Provincial Arts and Cultural Center in Viet Tri Ward, the Chairman assigned the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to lead a comprehensive review of design, construction, supervision, equipment procurement, and fire safety in coordination with specialized units, reporting back to the committee before September 5 to build an effective operational plan. Regarding the Provincial Theater in Vinh Phuc Ward, the department will collaborate with the Department of Finance to propose an optimal management scheme to prevent resource waste.
