Opening of the Den Nha Ba Festival

On the morning of April 2, the Management Board of Nha Ba Temple in Tu Vu Commune officially opened the traditional Nha Ba Temple Festival 2026. The event drew a large number of local residents and pilgrims from across the region to visit and offer prayers.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, local leaders, officials, and citizens offered incense and ritual gifts to express profound gratitude to the ancestors and deities who protected and contributed to the building of the homeland.

Nha Ba Temple is a relic with a rich history closely linked to the long-standing traditions of Dong Xuan Village. According to historical records, the temple was built in the early Nguyen Dynasty during the reign of King Gia Long, originally named "Tuong Giang Tu."

By 1853, under the reign of King Tu Duc, the temple received a royal title and became the place of worship for the Three Saints of Tan Vien Mountain – the Tutelary Gods of Dong Xuan Village. In 1886, after village shrines were destroyed, the people moved the tablets and incense burners of the Tutelary Gods here, and it has been known as Nha Ba Temple ever since.

Beyond its historical and cultural value, Nha Ba Temple preserves many precious royal certificates from various dynasties. In 2009, the relic was recognized by the Provincial People’s Committee as a Provincial-level Historical and Cultural Relic. In 2022, it was restored and renovated, becoming a key spiritual site for the local community.

The festival features traditional ceremonial rituals, including palanquin processions, incense offerings, the ceremonial drum beating, and the solemn reading of divine records, all demonstrating the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and deep appreciation for the ancestors.

The festive part of the event was equally vibrant, with diverse cultural and sporting activities such as volleyball, crossbow shooting, tug-of-war, and community art performances. These activities attracted enthusiastic participation, fostering a joyful atmosphere and strengthening community solidarity.

The Nha Ba Temple Festival is not only an important cultural and spiritual occasion but also contributes to preserving and promoting national identity, enhancing the great national unity block to join hands in building a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Tu Vu.
