Opening the program, Comrade Duong Hoang Huong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, affirmed: The 2026 “Phu Tho Tourism – Vibrant Experience” program creates additional attraction for tourists to Phu Tho through cultural promotion, introduction of OCOP products and Vietnamese goods, and traditional craft performances. Through this, it contributes to diversifying sightseeing and shopping experiences, encouraging tourists to extend their length of stay, expanding local exploration journeys, and promoting tourism development linked with product consumption and cultural identity preservation.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Duong Hoang Huong delivers opening remarks at the program.
Delivering directive remarks at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Cong Su recognized and highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in coordinating with local authorities and the business community to organize the event. This serves as a practical activity to promote destination imagery, introduce signature products, expand consumer markets, and diversify sightseeing and shopping experiences for residents and tourists.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Cong Su speaks at the program.
The Vice Chairman emphasized that tourism is an integrated, inter-sectoral, and inter-regional economic sector that drives growth, shifts labor structures, and generates development spillover across multiple fields. Politburo Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2026, on developing Vietnamese tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the new era, continues to affirm the crucial role of the tourism industry in the country’s socio-economic development.

The program was organized within a cultural space rich in ethnic identity.
In Phu Tho, Resolution No. 29-NQ/TU dated June 5, 2026, issued by the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development for the 2026–2030 period, sets the target of building the province into a national cultural-festival tourism center and a renowned northern destination for belief culture, eco-tourism, and resort leisure, gradually turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
By 2030, the province aims to welcome at least 20 million arrivals, including approximately 7.8 million overnight stays, with total tourism revenue reaching about 26,500 billion VND, creating employment for over 30,000 direct and indirect workers.
In 2026, the province sets a target for double-digit tourism service growth in line with the orientation under Government Resolution No. 168/NQ-CP dated June 27, 2026.
To realize this goal, organizing cultural, sports, and tourism events linked with trade promotion and supply-demand matching is identified as a key solution to attract tourists and stimulate consumption.

Provincial leaders tour the exhibition booths.
According to Vice Chairman Dinh Cong Su, the coordination model between agencies, units, localities, and enterprises in organizing tourism and trade promotional activities should continue to be replicated at key tourist sites and urban centers across the province. Departments, branches, localities, enterprises, cooperatives, and citizens are urged to actively participate in the stimulus program, prioritizing the use of local tourism services, OCOP products, and regional specialties.
He requested the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to coordinate with relevant units to step up propaganda and promotion of the program and tourism products across media channels; construct a hotline to receive and process tourist feedback; and strengthen inspection and supervision over commitments made by participating units. The Tourism Association must encourage members to guarantee service quality, maintain reasonable prices, and offer promotional programs to facilitate tourists.

Numerous local residents as well as domestic and international tourists visit and shop at OCOP product booths.
Signature agricultural goods, OCOP products, and craft village items carry not only economic value but also embody stories of the land, people, traditions, and cultural identity. Linking product promotion and consumption with tourism activities helps bring local values closer to tourists, opening connection opportunities between cooperatives, producers, enterprises, distributors, and tourism businesses.
Within the framework of the program, numerous response activities took place, including launching the “green - clean - beautiful” tourism environment campaign; a seminar celebrating National Digital Transformation Day themed “National Digital Transformation: From Architecture, Platforms, and Data to Substantive Results, Elevating National Governance Efficiency”; and the conference on connecting the consumption of representative cooperative products and OCOP products of Phu Tho Province.
Concurrently, display and promotional spaces for culture-tourism, OCOP products, and the Vietnamese Goods Fair were organized, alongside cultural performances, folk games, and traditional craft demonstrations.
The display, cultural-tourism promotion, OCOP product introduction, and Vietnamese Goods Fair activities will run through October 11, 2026.
