Within the framework of the friendly visit and local promotion program in Mongolia and South Korea, on May 23, a delegation from Phu Tho Province led by Ms. Bui Thi Minh—Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee—visited and worked with the Embassy of Vietnam and the Vietnamese community in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. The delegation included leaders from the Provincial People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, alongside representatives from various local departments, sectors, and municipalities.

On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Bui Thi Minh expressed her profound gratitude to Ambassador Nguyen Tuan Thanh, the Embassy staff, and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia for according the Phu Tho delegation a warm and heartfelt reception. She emphasized that this visit serves not only as an opportunity for the province to exchange information and explore cooperation fields but also to strengthen the close bond between Phu Tho and Vietnamese nationals living, studying, and working in Mongolia.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh stated that following the administrative consolidation of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh, the newly formed Phu Tho Province is intensively capitalizing on its prominent advantages to emerge as a strategic new growth pole of the Northern region. She expressed her hope that the Embassy would continue to assist in providing intelligence regarding market dynamics, trade policies, investment climates, and consumer demands in Mongolia, thereby enabling Phu Tho enterprises to access the market more effectively. Concurrently, she requested support in connecting with Mongolian business associations, regulatory bodies, and partners to expand bilateral cooperation in the coming time.

Upholding the spirit of great national solidarity among overseas and domestic compatriots, the Deputy Secretary and Fatherland Front Chairwoman expressed her desire that the overseas Vietnamese community in Mongolia would achieve further business breakthroughs, effectively serving as a bridge of friendship between the peoples of the two nations. She encouraged the diaspora to actively support marketing and introducing Phu Tho’s flagship products—such as tea, processed food, consumer goods, garments, and high-quality agricultural products—into the Mongolian market.

The Embassy and the Association of Vietnamese People in Mongolia expressed great delight at the achievements recorded by Phu Tho Province, affirming their readiness to accompany the province on its journey of innovation, integration, and development.

According to the working agenda, on May 25, the provincial delegation will hold talks with the authorities of Tuv Province. The two sides will discuss and finalize a new cooperation agreement with Phu Tho Province, building upon and inheriting the memorandum of understanding (MoU) previously signed between Tuv Province and Hoa Binh Province in 2018.
