According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, in the first nine months of 2025, Phu Tho is estimated to have welcomed approximately 12.15 million tourist arrivals, including more than 3.765 million overnight visitors. Total tourism revenue during this period reached an estimated 12.32 trillion VND, maintaining stable growth compared to the same period last year.
The Xoan Retreat site in Da Bac commune has become a popular destination for visitors.
Among the total number of visitors, international tourists accounted for about 96,500 arrivals, while domestic overnight tourists exceeded 3.668 million. These figures reflect the province’s strong efforts in promoting tourism, diversifying products, improving service quality, and building the image of “Phu Tho – a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.”
The Tay Thien Festival attracts a large number of locals and visitors.
Particularly during the National Day holiday (August 30 – September 2, 2025), Phu Tho welcomed around 300,000 visitors, generating approximately 305 billion VND in revenue, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. This result demonstrates the steady recovery and sustainable development of the province’s tourism sector.
In the coming time, Phu Tho will continue to implement comprehensive measures, such as promoting digital transformation, online marketing, and regional linkages, while focusing on preserving and promoting cultural heritage values in association with tourism development. These orientations are expected to create fresh momentum, helping Phu Tho tourism further affirm its position on Vietnam’s tourism map.
