Promoting the Image of the Hung King Era through Souvenirs at Hung Temple

At the Hung Temple Historic Site, activities to promote the image of the Hung King era are being implemented through various practical forms, contributing to the spread of cultural values and the “Worship of Hung Kings” belief to a wide range of visitors.

Within the framework of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, the Site Management Board collaborated with AND Joint Stock Company (Thanh Mieu Ward) to organize an exhibition, introduction, and sale of souvenir products deeply imbued with the identity of the Hung King era. This is the inaugural year for this activity, which has initially created a new highlight, attracting significant interest and support from compatriots and tourists alike.

The cultural souvenir stalls attract interest from compatriots and tourists for sightseeing and shopping.

Currently, three cultural souvenir stalls are located at the Temple Well (Den Gieng) Intersection and the Public Guest House (Nha Cong Quan), featuring over 30 diverse items such as keychains, silk scarves, handkerchiefs, mugs, thermos flasks, silk fans, Lac bird symbols, t-shirts, tote bags, teddy bears, hats, and “blessing” pouches. All products are designed and printed with emblems of the Hung King era and characteristic cultural motifs, vividly recreating the cultural space of the nation-founding period.

The products are printed with Hung King era emblems and characteristic cultural motifs.

Prices are publicly listed, ranging from 10,000 VND to 350,000 VND, making them accessible to various visitor segments. Beyond their value as keepsakes, these products serve as a bridge to spread the image of heritage, contributing to raising community awareness of the “Worship of Hung Kings” — a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Introducing souvenir products that carry the cultural identity of the Hung Kings not only creates a fresh appeal for tourism at Hung Temple but also contributes to preserving and promoting heritage values, evoking national pride and a sense of returning to one’s roots.
