Exhibition of Documents and Artifacts on the “Worship of Hung Kings” Heritage

On the occasion of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, from April 17 to 27 (the 1st to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), the Hung Vuong Museum within the Hung Temple Historic Site is hosting an exhibition of documents and images regarding the Worship of Hung Kings and typical tributary artifacts for the public and international tourists.

Artifacts, documents, and images regarding the “Worship of Hung Kings” heritage are displayed at the Hung Vuong Museum (Hung Temple Historic Site) for pilgrims and visitors.

The exhibition space introduces many precious artifacts of high historical and cultural value, typical of the Hung King worship belief, such as ritual palanquins, ceremonial weapons, and the “Eight Precious Objects” used in worship rituals. Alongside these are notable tributary offerings expressing the profound respect of organizations and individuals toward their national roots, including silver vases, silver plates, silver wine flasks, golden books, bronze drums, lithophones (dan da), porcelain vases, and gong ensembles.

Typical and unique tributary artifacts attract pilgrims and tourists.

Furthermore, a rich system of images is introduced to the public, vividly recreating the overall Hung Temple Historic Site and its landmark structures, such as the Festival Center Gate, the Main Temple Gate, Thien Quang Pagoda, the Dragon Eye Well, the stone steps leading up Hung Mountain, various bas-reliefs, the Great National Solidarity House, and numerous other Hung King worship sites throughout the province.

This exhibition enriches the cultural activities of the 2026 Festival, affirming the vitality and widespread influence of this belief within the community. It contributes to the broad promotion of the unique values of the Hung Kings era cultural heritage and the Ancestral Land cultural space.

The event also serves as an opportunity to strengthen education on patriotism and the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” among all walks of life. Thereby, it evokes national pride and expresses gratitude for the merits of the Hung Kings and the ancestors who founded the nation.

The exhibition further confirms the province’s efforts in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, contributing to building and developing the Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development in the new era.
