Visiting InfiniGru Group in Seoul—co-founded and managed by a Vietnamese entrepreneur—the delegation expressed high impressions of its monitoring, early detection, and prevention services against telephone and social media financial fraud. Serving 35 million registered users, the system has protected over 170,000 victims and successfully thwarted 8.7 trillion KRW (South Korean Won) in potential damages over the past three years. This highly effective solution was honored with the Innovation Award by the Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency.

Mr. Dao Tuan Hung, President of the Association of Vietnamese Communities in South Korea, shared that there are currently nearly 400,000 Vietnamese citizens living, working, and studying in South Korea. The Vietnamese diaspora operates across multidisciplinary fields, including high-caliber personnel participating in high-tech industries and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

A representative from the Science and Technology Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea added that South Korea allocates 4.9% of its GDP annually to science and technology, focusing heavily on artificial intelligence and backing private enterprises. The Embassy and the Association stand fully ready to connect and support Vietnamese localities, including Phu Tho Province, in resolving major challenges in science, technology, and healthcare, while driving high-quality human resource training.

Addressing the working session, Deputy Secretary Bui Thi Minh expressed profound gratitude for the active interest shown by the Vietnamese representative mission in South Korea and the local Vietnamese community. She emphasized that science, technology, and innovation are sectors of paramount interest to Phu Tho Province, which highly desires to tighten bilateral cooperation with South Korea.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh requested the Science and Technology Office and the Association of Vietnamese Communities in South Korea to continuously serve as a vital bridge, supporting both sides in strengthening partnerships via concrete programs and projects. This will allow the province to exploit and promote South Korea’s advanced technological strengths alongside the immense post-merger potential of Phu Tho Province.
