Overview of the working session.

Providing an overview of the local situation, he emphasized that following the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh, the province has formed an expansive development space with an area of over 9,300 square kilometers and a population scale of more than 4 million people. This is a strategic turning point helping the province maximize its complementary advantages in industry, agriculture, tourism, logistics, and high-quality human resources.

In 2025, Phu Tho’s economy maintained its breakthrough momentum, with a GRDP growth rate reaching 10.52% (ranking 4th nationally); the economy’s scale reached approximately 412.4 trillion VND (equivalent to nearly 16 billion USD).

In the first 7 months of 2026 alone, state budget revenue reached 38 trillion VND (an increase of 15.7% over the same period); foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached over 1.9 billion USD. For the 2026–2030 period, Phu Tho is determined to strive to become a key growth pole of the Capital Region and the Northern Midland and Mountainous region.

To realize the orientation of attracting investment into key sectors (manufacturing industry, precision mechanics, new materials, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and resort tourism), the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation to regularly provide information on investment trends of Russian enterprises, acting as a bridge to help Phu Tho access trade promotion agencies, business associations, and major economic corporations in Russia.

At the same time, he proposed coordinating to organize direct business networking conferences and seminars, as well as promoting cooperation and technology transfer in fields where Russia holds strengths. In particular, he expressed his hope that the Embassy would increase efforts to introduce the tourism potential and unique cultural values of the Ancestral Land to partners and citizens in the Russian Federation. Phu Tho commits to proactively and thoroughly preparing project portfolios, incentive mechanisms, and creating the most favorable conditions for Russian investors.

Speaking at the session, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi highly praised Phu Tho Province’s proactive integration efforts. The Ambassador affirmed that the Embassy will always serve as a solid bridge, actively assisting the province in concretizing cooperation proposals, contributing to further strengthening the Vietnam–Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Funded by the Soviet Pravda newspaper and designed by Architect and USSR People’s Artist Felix Romanovsky, the monument stands as an enduring symbol of friendship between the two nations.
