In the first quarter of 2026, Phu Tho’s tourism sector recorded impressive results with strong growth in both visitor numbers and revenue, creating solid momentum for the province’s year-long socio-economic development plan.

The Thac Bo Goddess Temple on Hoa Binh Lake is one of the tourist attractions drawing large numbers of visitors and pilgrims in the first quarter.
According to a report from the Tourism Management Division (Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), in the first quarter of 2026, the province welcomed an estimated 4.65 million visitors, including over 277,000 international tourists. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 5,053 billion VND. Notably, revenue from accommodation services accounted for a significant portion, totaling approximately 2,779 billion VND.
During this period, the province prioritized organizing and participating in tourism promotion and stimulus activities. Highlights included attending the Ban Flower Festival in Dien Bien and collaborating on surveys to build Muong ethnic community-based tourism models in Long Coc and Son Luong communes.
Tourism environment management during the Lunar New Year of the Horse was well-executed. Digital promotion efforts through websites, social media platforms, and AI-powered automated tour guides at various historical and scenic sites continued to be strengthened.
Currently, Phu Tho’s tourism industry is focusing all resources on preparing for the Hung Kings' Commemoration - Hung Kings Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture-Tourism Week, alongside launching a province-wide tourism stimulus program.
