On the afternoon of May 31, the closing and awards ceremony for top-performing athletes was held at the Binh Duong New City Community Sports Center in Binh Duong province, marking the end of the 2025 National Youth Tennis Championship. The Phu Tho tennis team concluded the tournament with an impressive haul—one gold and two bronze medals.
Coach Nguyen Trong Nghiep and his team won three medals at the 2025 National Youth Tennis Championship.
This year, Phu Tho sent 10 male and female athletes to compete in various categories, including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles across the U12, U14, and U16 age groups. The standout performance came from the U12 Mixed Doubles event, where the duo of Vu Thanh Truc and Phung Duc Khoa clinched the gold medal.
The two bronze medals went to the pair of Vi Duc Duy and Dinh Le Dung—also in the U12 Mixed Doubles event—and the team of Nguyen Quoc Duy and Dao Binh An in the U16 Mixed Doubles category. This result is considered a significant success for Phu Tho Tennis, especially as the sport has only been redeveloped in the province since 2022.

The 2025 National Youth Tennis Championship took place from May 22 to May 31 in Binh Duong province, drawing more than 400 athletes from 17 localities and units nationwide. Competitions were held in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across six age groups—U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18.
As one of the most important events in the youth tennis calendar of the Vietnam Tennis Federation, the tournament serves as a crucial platform to scout and select talented athletes for Vietnam’s national youth teams.
