Sign an agreement to establish friendly cooperation between the two cities of Viet Tri and Linyi

Continuing the programme of work, on April 18th, the Working Group of the Municipality of Linyi, Shandong Province - China, led by Mr. Juan Xinyang, Standing Commissioner, Vice Mayor of Linyi City, signed an agreement to establish friendly cooperation relations with the Municipal Government of Viet Tri City.

At the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of Viet Tri Municipality People Committee Nguyen Thu Hien emphasized: Viet Tri City is a locality with a rich history and long cultural traditions. In addition, Viet Tri is a type I municipality in the province of Phu Tho and one of the 12 regional municipalities of Vietnam, thanks to the favorable transport infrastructure, over the years, Viet Tri has grown strongly in all areas. The signing of the cooperation agreement between the two cities not only marks confidence in political cooperation between the parties, but also opens up many new opportunities for future cooperation in various areas such as culture, arts, education, economic development, trade...; thus contributing to strengthening, promoting friendly relations between the sides.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice Mayor of Linyi said: “Linyi is a leading economic development city, considered China’s”logistics capital" and now has friendly relations with 30 cities around the world. Therefore, the signing of a friendly relationship with Viet Tri city will help Ling Ji to expand its cooperative relations to build a modern logistics trade circulation system, contributing to the local socio-economic development. At the same time, he affirmed that the cooperation agreement would be an opportunity, a foundation for the two cities to seek opportunities to promote development cooperation in all areas, thus bringing the friendship between the two sides to a sustainable level.

On this occasion, the Vice Mayor of Linyi city has invited the leaders of the city to visit Linyi for the two sides to exchange, discuss the direction, program, and specific action plan.

At the meeting, the two sides signed an agreement to establish friendly cooperation.
