The Provincial People’s Committee has also submitted a proposal to the Provincial People’s Council to approve a resolution for Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households, totaling 22.9 billion VND.

After hearing the province’s report on socio-economic development and Tet welfare activities, State President Luong Cuong expressed his delight at the province’s achievements. He emphasized: 2025 was the first year implementing a two-level local government model, which brought many challenges. However, with a spirit of solidarity, high determination, and creativity, the provincial Party, authorities, people, and armed forces have exerted great efforts to achieve comprehensive and impressive results. The preparation and care for the people during Tet have been executed with great focus. On behalf of the State leaders, President Luong Cuong congratulated the Party, authorities, and people of Phu Tho on their outstanding accomplishments in 2025.

State President Luong Cuong requested that the provincial Party committee and authorities continue to deeply grasp and strictly implement the policies of the Party and State regarding people’s welfare. This is to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical Lunar New Year, where every individual and every household can celebrate the Spring festival.

The President emphasized the need for thoughtful care toward policy-beneficiary groups, including visits to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and those with meritorious services to the revolution, as well as struggling workers and the impoverished. He also urged the effective implementation of policies for the armed forces and the families of officers and soldiers, alongside organizing encouragement visits for those on duty during the holidays.

Beyond the Lunar New Year activities, the President directed the province to focus on successfully achieving the goals and tasks set for 2026—the inaugural year for implementing the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2026–2030). Immediate priorities include the effective rollout of Central directives on the 14th National Party Congress Resolution and the successful organization of the elections for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure.

“With the aspiration and determination for progress, Phu Tho must not only remain the cultural cradle of the nation but also strive to become a dynamic development hub of the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Phu Tho province is more modern in infrastructure and industry; greener in sustainable development; more humane in social policy; developing rapidly yet inclusively; growing strongly but leaving no one behind; and modernizing while preserving the soul and cultural values of the Ancestral Land,” State President Luong Cuong emphasized.
