Strengthening Cooperation in Smart Urban Development and High-Tech Industry

On the afternoon of July 29, Pham Dai Duong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, received and held a working session with Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of Thailand’s Amata Group, and a delegation of investors to discuss the implementation of the Doan Hung Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project (Amata City Phu Tho), explore the province’s investment environment, and exchange views on future cooperation opportunities. The meeting was attended by Quach Tat Liem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

Welcoming the delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong expressed his appreciation for Amata Group’s decision to choose Phu Tho as an investment destination and thanked the company for its confidence in the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary provided an overview of Phu Tho’s strengths, development orientation following the provincial merger, and the province’s socio-economic performance and foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction during the first six months of 2026.

He noted that the province attracted nearly $1.78 billion in newly registered FDI during the period, exceeding its target set at the beginning of the year, with a full-year goal of attracting more than $3 billion in FDI.

Pham Dai Duong emphasized that Phu Tho prioritizes investment in high technology, clean technology, electronics, semiconductors, precision engineering, medical equipment, supporting industries, green energy, and advanced manufacturing and processing industries. The province is also committed to developing an integrated industrial ecosystem linked with logistics, urban development and services in line with ecological, smart and sustainable development goals.

At the same time, the province will continue improving its investment and business environment through administrative reform, synchronized infrastructure development, enhanced governance capacity and the development of a highly skilled workforce to meet the needs of strategic investors.

The Provincial Party Secretary reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to accompanying businesses and creating the most favorable conditions for Amata Group and other investors to successfully implement their projects in Phu Tho.

He also expressed his hope that Amata would leverage its international experience to accelerate the development of Doan Hung Industrial Park, bring the project into operation as soon as possible, and attract more high-tech investors, thereby contributing to the province’s socio-economic development and human resource improvement.

Amata Group Chairman Vikrom Kromadit expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended by Phu Tho’s leaders and praised the province’s favorable investment environment. He reaffirmed the group’s interest in expanding cooperation through the development of modern, high-tech industrial parks and proposed that the province continue supporting site clearance to facilitate the next phases of the Doan Hung Industrial Park project.

Chairman Vikrom Kromadit introduced the history and development of Amata Group and updated provincial leaders on the implementation progress of the Doan Hung Industrial Park infrastructure project. He also expressed his hope for continued support from the provincial government and relevant departments throughout the project’s implementation.

The Amata Chairman proposed the concept of a “Future City” in Phu Tho, featuring an integrated urban-industrial-service complex, a data center, and a high-tech park. He noted that Phu Tho possesses considerable development potential thanks to its favorable investment environment, abundant land resources, skilled workforce and conditions suitable for the development of smart urban areas. He also suggested that the province facilitate land allocation and provide supporting infrastructure, including electricity, water, telecommunications and high-capacity data connectivity, to support future investment initiatives.

Amata Group’s leadership affirmed that the company would continue working closely with provincial authorities to accelerate project implementation, contributing to local socio-economic development.

Welcoming Amata’s proposals, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong stated that the group’s development vision aligns well with Phu Tho’s strategy for the new development period, particularly in building a modern industrial ecosystem integrated with urban development and services while ensuring sustainable growth.

He encouraged Amata Group to continue studying and consolidating its specific investment requirements so that the province could coordinate with the company and recommend suitable locations for future investment expansion in Phu Tho.
