baophutho.vnCurrently, the province has about 15,000ha of tea, of which more than 3,000ha of tea is produced according to food safety and hygiene processes; tea yield reaches 118 quintals/ha; output reaches more than 185 thousand tons/year and a value-linked production chain has been formed through supporting green tea processing and trading establishments, cooperatives and craft villages in tea planting, caring and processing techniques, designing packages and labels, registering codes, barcodes and connecting consumption markets at supermarkets, fairs, localities and exporting to many countries around the world such as India, China, Germany, UK...

In order to effectively exploit and promote the value of intellectual property protection of the Phu Tho Tea certification mark, in association with the goal of sustainable development of tea, the Provincial People“s Committee has issued a Plan on the development of the Provincial People”s Committee has issued the Plan on developing the Phu Tho Tea certification mark for the 2021-2025 period with the goal that by 2025, 100% of tea products of enterprises and cooperatives participating in the province"s OCOP program that are rated three stars or more will be consulted, guided to review the conditions, and complete the application documents for the right to use the Phu Tho Tea certification mark. 100% of tea products bearing the Phu Tho Tea certification mark have traceability, are strictly controlled for quality, food hygiene and safety in accordance with management regulations issued by competent authorities. In addition, localities are also focusing on bringing tea plants into tourism development, creating tourist routes, stopping points to visit tea hills, contributing to spreading and promoting the brand of the Fatherland tea.

Developing safe tea areas in a sustainable direction is a mandatory requirement to build a strong tea brand in the market so that tea really becomes not only a crop to help reduce and escape poverty but also a tree that brings wealth for farmers.
