She thanked the provincial leadership for always accompanying businesses, listening attentively, and promptly resolving difficulties, thereby creating favorable conditions for Honda Vietnam’s production and business activities.

She noted that Honda Vietnam is actively researching and applying green and electrification technologies to reduce emissions. Notably, in April this year, Honda launched its first electric motorbike model manufactured in Phu Tho—marking a milestone in the company’s electrification strategy and underscoring its commitment to sustainable development in the Vietnamese market.
Sharing international experiences in transitioning from gasoline to electric vehicles, Ms. Arai emphasized the importance of a carefully designed roadmap to ensure a safe, efficient, and sustainable transition. She urged policymakers and stakeholders to allow adequate preparation time for this process and called on Phu Tho province to support Honda Vietnam’s proposals. On this occasion, Ms. Arai also made several recommendations, including adjusting the special consumption tax on hybrid vehicles and establishing a clear roadmap and technical standards for electric vehicles in Vietnam.
