Digital transformation is no longer an option but an inevitable requirement across all sectors of life. For the collective economy and cooperatives, digital transformation is considered the “key” to improving governance capacity, expanding markets, and achieving sustainable development. Recognizing this, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has proactively implemented synchronized solutions, gradually turning digital technology into an effective tool for managing, supporting, and developing local cooperatives.
Da Hen Tea Production and Processing Cooperative (Dong Luong Commune) applies digital technology in product promotion and consumption, contributing to the value of local specialty tea.
Innovating Operational Methods
In recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has effectively utilized internal information channels while promoting digital applications in communication, management, and grassroots support. The web portal LMHTX.PHUTHO.GOV.VN has been upgraded with practical categories, providing timely updates on new policies and laws, as well as major political events, becoming an effective promotion channel for member cooperatives.
Additionally, the “Phu Tho Provincial Cooperative Alliance” Fanpage and social media platforms like Facebook and Zalo have been leveraged to spread information quickly and multi-dimensionally. Communication content has been innovated with diverse formats, from news articles and photo reports to video clips, bringing the image of the collective economy closer to the community and the market.
In the 2020-2025 term, the Alliance published 56 issues of the Collective Economy Bulletin with over 21,000 copies; edited and released 1,000 cooperative product handbooks; and posted nearly 1,500 articles on its website. Notably, the production of 13 video clips titled “Connecting Supply and Demand, Building Links for Product Development” helped promote the potential and OCOP products of cooperatives for trade promotion programs.
Beyond communication, the Alliance has integrated digital platforms into management and administration. Systems for electronic document management, online meetings, and digital data storage have been deployed to shorten processing times and enhance transparency in managing information about cooperatives and their members.

"The Tam Dao Mushroom Cooperative (Tam Dao Commune) is accelerating digital transformation in production and promoting products via online platforms to expand its market reach."
Enhancing Capacity and Driving Digital Adoption
Identifying people as the pivotal factor, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has focused on training to improve the digital skills of its staff. Numerous training sessions have been organized covering practical topics such as news writing, photography, communication skills, and guidance on the 2023 Law on Cooperatives.
Specialized programs on information technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, and media support software have helped staff master new technologies. This improves the quality of consultancy and support provided to cooperatives.
Digital transformation is not just about technology; it is a comprehensive shift in management mindset. Each staff member acts as a “nucleus” to spread the spirit of innovation, guiding cooperatives to apply digital technology in production and business.
The success of the Da Hen Tea Cooperative is a prime example. With support from the Alliance, the cooperative has utilized online platforms and e-commerce floors to promote and sell products. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the cooperative, shared: "Previously, tea consumption relied on small traders, and the market was limited. Since receiving digital transformation training, our products are now sold well not only within the province but also in many other markets."
In the coming period, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance will continue to promote digital transformation methodically and substantively. Key focuses include building tiered digital skill training programs, incorporating digital criteria into annual staff evaluations, and perfecting a centralized data system for cooperatives.
It is evident that digital transformation not only helps the Phu Tho Provincial Cooperative Alliance enhance its management efficiency but also creates a powerful shift in supporting the collective economy. As technology is applied more deeply, cooperatives will have more opportunities to innovate production, expand markets, and improve competitiveness in a sustainable manner.
