In the first three months of the year, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction in the province continued to record positive signals, creating vital momentum for socio-economic growth.
Specifically, the total registered capital from newly licensed projects and adjusted capital increases in the first quarter reached $685.1 million, a 7.8-fold increase compared to the same period in 2025. This achievement completes 46% of the annual FDI attraction target.
These results reflect the ongoing efforts to improve the business and investment environment while affirming the province’s increasing appeal to international investors.
In Q1/2026, BHFlex Vina Co., Ltd. (Khai Quang Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc Ward) expanded its production investment by an additional $170 million.
Notably, there were 22 instances of capital adjustment, double the figure from the same period last year. This trend demonstrates the strong confidence of investors as they continue to expand their production and business scales. Highlights include the BHFlex Vina electronic component manufacturing plant project, which increased its capital by $170 million, and the Meiko Hoa Binh electronic printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing plant project, which added $150 million. These expansions significantly bolster industrial production capacity, particularly in the high-tech electronics sector.
As of the end of March 2026, the province hosts 517 active FDI projects within its industrial parks, with a total registered investment capital of over $10.2 billion. Realized capital is estimated at nearly $7.3 billion, equivalent to 71% of the total registered capital. This indicates that project implementation efficiency and the economy’s capital absorption capacity continue to improve.
The positive outcomes in the first quartier serve as an important foundation for the province to continue promoting selective investment attraction. Priority will be given to high-tech, environmentally friendly projects that generate high added value. Simultaneously, the province aims to enhance the quality of business support services, contributing to the successful realization of socio-economic goals for 2026 and the following years.
