The 2023 Viet Tri city’s Phu Dong Sports Festival wraps up
On November 27, Viet Tri City conducted a closing ceremony for the 2023 Phu Dong Sports Festival, awarding medals to high-achieving athletes.
Leader of the provincial Department of Education and Training awarded the first, second, and third place among the Primary School group.
This year’s Phu Dong Sports Festival in Viet Tri city ran from November 5 to 17, with 1,132 athletes from 49 delegations of local elementary and secondary schools. Men’s Football, Athletics, Aerobics, Badminton, and Table Tennis are the five sports in this event.
The Viet Tri City People’s Committee leader presented gifts to the secondary schools' delegations.
The Organizing Committee gave 198 awards to high-achieving athletes at the conclusion of the Sports Festival contests. There are 51 first prize winners, 51 second prize winners, and 96 third prize winners. Furthermore, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Van Phu Primary School and Gia Cam Secondary School; the second prize to Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School and Van Lang Secondary School; and the third prize to Tan Dan Primary School, Gia Cam Primary School, Nong Trang Secondary School, and Du Lau Secondary School.
Tan Dan Primary School was awarded first place in soccer by the organizing committee.
The event provides a chance to assess physical education and sports training activities in schools, so contributing to the overall development of students' moral, intellectual, physical, and artistic characteristics and talents. The city’s Education Department assisted in the selection of 210 great athletes to attend the 19th Phu Dong Provincial Sports Festival, which will be place from December 11 to 15.
