The Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway project completed early

The Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway construction project, which connects with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, officially broke ground on February 23, 2021. To date, the project has been almost completed, and it is slated to be inaugurated on December 24, at least two years ahead of schedule.

Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway work was advanced when the investment strategy was adjusted to finish phase 2 by 2023. To date, the project has been largely completed, arriving at its goal at least two years ahead of schedule. The project has a total investment of around 3,712 billion VND and is divided into two phases with a total length of 40.2km, approximately 11.63km in Tuyen Quang province and approximately 28.57km in Phu Tho province, passing through Doan Hung district, Thanh Ba, Phu Ninh, Phu Tho town.

In Phu Tho, immediately after the project was approved for investment policy, the Provincial People’s Committee drastically directed all levels, branches and local authorities to focus on carrying out site clearance work, creating favorable conditions for the project. The best conditions for investors to execute the project.

Along with the efforts of the investor, especially the consensus of local people, the site clearance work of the project has been completed, in which the main route site handover was 28.93km/28.93km, reaching 100%, ensuring the approved project is on schedule and meets the set requirements.

​ The Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway construction project connecting with Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway is a key national project and an important project for the Northern provinces in general, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces, Phu Tho in particular in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security potential.

Up to now, the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway Project is completing the final stages, expected to be inaugurated on December 24. The inauguration and putting the route into use will meet the increasing transport demand, reduce congestion and traffic accidents on National Highway 2, and improve the operational efficiency of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway creating a breakthrough in socio-economic development for the two localities and provinces in the region.
