On December 25, Toyota Vietnam held a ceremony to receive the First-Class Labor Order at its factory in Phu Tho Province. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from central ministries and local agencies.
Toyota Vietnam is honored to receive the First-Class Labor Order from the State of Vietnam after 30 years of operation.
Over the past three decades, Toyota Vietnam has made significant contributions to the nation across various sectors. In 2025, marking its 30th anniversary, Toyota Vietnam became the first automaker to achieve impressive milestones: 1 million cars delivered to customers and 700,000 vehicles manufactured locally.
With a widespread dealer network, Toyota has become a trusted companion for the Vietnamese people. The Japanese automaker consistently regards social responsibility as a core pillar of its sustainable development. Furthermore, Toyota remains one of the leading contributors to local budgets, affirming its role as a dedicated and responsible FDI enterprise in Vietnam.
These persistent efforts formed the basis for the President of Vietnam to recognize and award the First-Class Labor Order to Toyota Vietnam for its outstanding achievements in production and business, substantial contributions to the State Budget, social security work, and the socio-economic development of Phu Tho and the nation.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu presents flowers to congratulate the leadership of Toyota Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu affirmed: "The First-Class Labor Order is a prestigious award from the Party and the State, reflecting the recognition of the tireless efforts and significant achievements of Toyota Vietnam."
Recently, Phu Tho province has actively accompanied and voiced the proposals of automobile and motorcycle manufacturers regarding the adjustment of Special Consumption Tax (SCT). These proposals were approved by the National Assembly and the Government through the Law on Special Consumption Tax, effective from January 1, 2026. This law includes adjustments for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), providing favorable conditions for automakers like Toyota Vietnam to expand production.
Based on these results, the Vice Chairman requested Toyota Vietnam to continue pioneering the transition to Electric Vehicles (EVs) and green technology in the Vietnamese market, contributing to the “Net Zero” commitment in line with Toyota’s global orientation. He also urged the company to step up Research and Development (R&D) in Vietnam, positioning the country as a hub for producing and exporting strategic Toyota models within the region.

In 2026 and the following years, the company is encouraged to allocate resources for production expansion, technological innovation, increasing the local content rate (localization), and fostering deep cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises. This aim is to build a supporting industry ecosystem right in Phu Tho and the surrounding region. The province also hopes Toyota will coordinate with local departments to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on supporting domestic enterprises in the automotive supporting industry, thereby enhancing local corporate capacity and boosting the regional economy.
Previously, on December 24, Mr. Nakano Keita, President of Toyota Vietnam, was also honored with a Commemorative Medal from the Ministry of Industry and Trade for his outstanding contributions to the construction and development of the industry.
