On the afternoon of May 14, at Future Innovation Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phu Ha Industrial Park), the Department of Home Affairs held a meeting with several FDI enterprises and local universities and colleges to address bottlenecks in labor training and recruitment. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tran Viet Cuong—Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

During the session, FDI enterprises reported numerous difficulties in recruiting and retaining staff. Key issues included a shortage of both unskilled and technical workers, high labor turnover, and the prevalence of "job hopping." Some companies struggled to hire large numbers of workers on short notice to meet surging orders.
Furthermore, wage disparities between sectors and regions have hindered recruitment efforts. Limitations in living conditions for workers—such as housing, transportation, and service infrastructure within industrial parks—were also cited as major barriers to labor stability.
To ensure a more proactive human resource supply, enterprises proposed establishing a coordination mechanism with local universities and colleges. This would involve bringing students in for internships and recruiting them for part-time work, especially during summer vacations.
In response, educational institutions and functional agencies urged businesses to coordinate closely through specific partnership programs. They encouraged companies to actively provide job information, organize field trips for students, and support training through scholarships and internship programs.
Furthermore, businesses were advised to submit their recruitment plans to the Provincial Employment Service Center to facilitate counseling and matching. Improving salary and bonus schemes, enhancing working conditions, and broadening recruitment criteria were also recommended to build a stable and attractive environment for the workforce.
Concluding the meeting, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Tran Viet Cuong emphasized that Phu Tho Province considers human resource development a key factor in attracting investment and driving socio-economic growth.

Regarding enterprise proposals on dormitories, social housing, and transport infrastructure, the Department will collaborate with relevant sectors to advise the province on accelerating these projects to meet practical needs.
Regarding labor recruitment and training, he emphasized the need to strengthen the “State-School-Enterprise” partnership, diversify recruitment and labor supply methods, and further refine relevant mechanisms and policies. Specifically, the Department of Education and Training, along with universities and colleges, must enhance career orientation and vocational training for students while fostering ties with businesses to develop high-tech human resources that meet the demands of upcoming investors in the province. On the corporate side, enterprises should proactively develop recruitment roadmaps and increase connectivity with training institutions, the Employment Service Center, and labor supply units.
The Department of Home Affairs will acknowledge and synthesize all feedback to continue advising the provincial authorities on labor and employment matters. At the same time, the Department will promote the application of Information Technology and digital transformation in recruitment, while consolidating the network of labor management officials from the provincial to the grassroots levels to provide more effective support for businesses.
