Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van Inspects Project Progress in Luong Son and Lien Son Communes

On December 16th, a working delegation led by Comrade Vu Viet Van - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee (PSC), Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) inspect several projects in Luong Son and Lien Son communes.

The Luong Son Cemetery Park Project has a total area of approximately 116.6 hectares, of which 32.7 hectares belong to Lien Son commune and 79.9 hectares belong to Luong Son commune. The project is designed with a capacity of 10 cremation chambers, a total investment capital of over 796 billion VND, including implementation costs of over 721 billion VND and compensation/site clearance costs of over 74 billion VND. The project is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2030. To date, the Department of Finance has reported to the PPC for consideration and approval of the investor in accordance with the law.

The Lam Son - IVORY High-End Ecological Resort Urban Area Project in Luong Son commune is a high-end ecological resort urban area including public land areas, commercial services, housing, entertainment, green parks, along with synchronized technical and social infrastructure. The project covers an area of approximately 66 hectares, with an estimated population of about 5,300 people, a total investment capital of over 2.812 trillion VND, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.

The Lam Son - IVORY High-End Ecological Resort Urban Area Project in Luong Son commune is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.

After inspecting, Vice Chairman of the PPC Vu Viet Van assigned the Department of Finance to review and evaluate regulations related to the project, especially issues concerning the environment, water sources, and safety distance. Concurrently, they have to coordinate with departments, sectors, and local authorities to study and allocate suitable land for the construction of a public cemetery area to serve the needs of residents around the project area.

Sharing the difficulties, the Vice Chairman of the PPC acknowledged and highly appreciated the project implementation results over the past time. He requested that in the coming period, construction safety must be ensured, landslide prevention proactively managed, and efforts made to complete the project on schedule. The objective is to build a synchronized, civilized, modern, and sustainably developed high-end ecological resort urban area, creating jobs, improving the people’s livelihoods, and contributing to increasing State budget revenue. Through this, the project is expected to create an economic driving force, upgrade urban space, and meet the long-term development requirements of the locality.
