During the inspection, the delegation surveyed the Au Co Road Renovation, Reinforcement, and Upgrading Project — a critical transport infrastructure work aimed at completing the urban traffic network. The project has a total investment of 1,497 billion VND, a total length of 40.58 km, and is divided into two phases.

Phase I has been completed with 12.83 out of 18.78 km put into operation, while asphalt concrete paving has reached 13.93 km. In Phase II, 17.1 out of 21.8 km of the road surface have been paved. Resettlement areas, including Dong Luong, Dong Re, Tay Keo (Binh Phu Commune), Trai Ga (Dan Chu Commune), and Dong Chua (Chan Mong Commune), have been handed over, contributing to stabilizing the lives of displaced residents.

However, the project still faces difficulties regarding site clearance. Approximately 1.55 km has not yet been handed over, primarily in Binh Phu, Dan Chu, Phu My, and Chan Mong communes, due to disagreements over compensation plans, land overlaps, or specific resettlement needs.

Regarding the Road connecting Hung Vuong Road through Nguyen Tat Thanh and Phu Dong to Au Co Road (3.71 km long, total investment of 445.1 billion VND), site clearance has reached approximately 90% to date. Many construction items have been completed, significantly enhancing regional traffic connectivity.

Furthermore, the Road project from Thuy Van Industrial Park to the Nguyen Tat Thanh – Ton Duc Thang link (4.51 km long, total investment of 4,449.98 billion VND) is also being drastically implemented. So far, 1.8 km has been handed over and is under construction. Authorities have issued land acquisition notices to 469 households, with 341 households having received compensation.

Directing at the sites, Vice Chairman Quach Tat Liem emphasized that key transport projects play a vital role in creating socio-economic momentum and improving regional connectivity. He requested localities to focus heavily on site clearance, increase dialogue with residents, and ensure transparency in compensation and resettlement policies.

The Vice Chairman instructed relevant units to promptly resolve bottlenecks and strive to complete the handover of sites to contractors. He demanded that investors and contractors mobilize manpower and machinery to work “3 shifts, 4 crews” once the site is available, accelerating progress while strictly ensuring quality, safety, and environmental sanitation.

With the province’s drastic direction and the efforts of construction units, key transport projects in Phu Tho are gradually gaining momentum, determined to reach completion as soon as possible to drive the province’s development in the coming period.
