Viet Tri Ward was established based on the administrative consolidation of the natural land area and population of the former Tan Dan, Gia Cam, Minh Nong, and Duu Lau wards, alongside the former Trung Vuong Commune of Viet Tri City.
Occupying a prime position within the administrative and political epicenter of Phu Tho Province, Viet Tri Ward hosts numerous headquarters of the province’s core governing bodies, such as the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, and various departments, sectors, and branches.
Concurrently, Viet Tri Ward owns an iconic landmark: Hung Vuong Square. This serves as the premier host venue for monumental events, including the opening ceremony of the Hung Kings' Temple Festival, art performances, Tet markets, and diverse cultural and sporting events.

The project titled “Lighting, Decoration, and Fountain Systems in the Hung Vuong Square Area, Viet Tri Ward, Phu Tho Province” was officially approved by the Viet Tri Ward People’s Committee on December 22, 2025, under Decision No. 1225/QD-UBND.
Classified as a Group C project, it requires a total investment of 85 billion VND, with the Viet Tri Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board serving as the investor.
According to investigative findings by our reporters, on May 22 [2026], the Viet Tri Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board officially issued an invitation to bid for "Package No. 03: Construction and Equipment Installation."
Package No. 03 is subjected to open national e-bidding, valued at 80 billion VND. Funding is sourced from the Phu Tho provincial budget, the Viet Tri ward budget, and other legally mobilized capital resources.
In the coming time, upon the finalization of the contractor selection process for the aforementioned package, the winning bidder will commence the construction of the lighting, decoration, and fountain systems at the Hung Vuong Square area.

According to the project dossier, the construction engineering scale of the package encompasses:
Dry deck musical fountain system: Constructed within the square’s premises over a total construction footprint of approximately 3,400 square meters. The system features around 1,000 architectural spray nozzles, roughly 1,000 submersible pumps, over 1,000 LED lights, alongside control panels, electrical cabling networks, specialized computers, and sound systems.
Elliptical fountain system: Comprising two symmetrical fountains situated on both sides of the square over a total construction scale of about 1,500 square meters. This system operates via a combination of architectural spray nozzles, 3-phase and standard submersible pumps, LED lights, industrial control computers, electrical cabling, and control panels.
Furthermore, the contractor will execute landscape modifications, including planting and arranging greenery to create a harmonious blend with the project site’s holistic architecture. The package also includes installing public utility facilities, a power transformer station dedicated to the project, and other auxiliary items.
The contract execution period for the package is strictly designated at 200 days.
According to the investor, the ultimate objective of the project is to deliver a signature landmark for the region. It is envisioned to become a cultural rendezvous and convergence hub, serving as the “heart” for major national-scale events, such as the Hung Kings“Death Anniversary - Hung Kings” Temple Festival, the Ancestral Roots Festival, art and sports programs, and national cultural festivals.
