Awarding some traditional sport competition at the Hung King Temple Festival in 2024
The provincial Department of Culture, sporting and Tourism conducted the awarding of a number of traditional sport competition such as crossbow shooting, shuttlecock tossing, Chinese chess and stick pushing on April 16th (lunar March 8th) at the sporting activities area in Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site.
Leaders from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism presented awards to athletes in shuttlecock tossing.
After two days of exhilarating competition in the spirit of cooperation, honesty, and nobility, athletes from districts and towns moved both locals and visitors. As a consequence, the Organizing Committee gave first, second, and third place prizes and certificates to high-achieving athletes, including 3 sets of crossbow shooting; 2 sets of shuttlecock tossing; 1 set of Chinese Chess and 4 sets of Stick Pushing.
Stick Pushing draws a big crowd of applauding people and visitors.
The event has created a healthy playground, allowing athletes to exchange and learn from experience, improving professional qualifications and experience. Thereby, strongly promoting physical training and sports movements among the entire population, improving spiritual life, and creating cohesion. At the same time, helping to preserve, protect and promote the tranditional sports and folk games.
The Organizing Committee presented awards for crossbow shooting.
Sports events will continue till April 18 (lunar march 10th) at the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Area.
