Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital receives 5 Hemodialysis Machines

On the afternoon of December 1, Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital held a ceremony to receive 5 hemodialysis machines donated by Mr. Nguyen Van Binh – Former Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission – along with other sponsors.

The Hemodialysis Unit of Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital was established in 2017, making it one of the first medical facilities in the former Phu Tho Province to implement hemodialysis. Initially, the Unit was equipped with 12 hemodialysis machines placed in the hospital by Vietnam Kidney Filter Machine Joint Stock Company. In December 2024, the Department of Health allocated funds for the hospital to purchase four more hemodialysis machines, in addition to the five machines donated by Vietcombank.

Currently, the Hemodialysis Unit of Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital has a total of 14 hemodialysis machines, treating over 40 patients. The addition of new hemodialysis machines has reduced the pressure on each dialysis shift, making it highly convenient for patients in the hospital.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh presents the symbolic gift of five hemodialysis machines to Phu Tho Regional General Hospital.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Huy Ngoc sincerely thanked Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Mr. Nguyen Kim Anh, and Vietcombank for their companionship and sponsorship of hemodialysis machines for the hospital. This gesture holds not only material significance but also conveys affection and a shared responsibility for the work of ensuring social welfare in Phu Tho Province. The donated medical equipment will directly help treat, prolong the lives, and improve the quality of life for hundreds of patients with kidney failure, contributing to enhancing the quality of healthcare and health protection for the people.

The Vice Chairman requested Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital to receive, operate, utilize, and effectively manage the donated equipment to serve the patients. He also urged the hospital to proactively enhance the professional and technical capacity of its medical team to improve the quality of medical examination, treatment, and healthcare for the people. He expressed hope that organizations and individuals will continue to show greater interest, support, assistance, and companionship in the future so that the Phu Tho Health sector can further develop to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the population.

On this occasion, delegates visited the equipment in the Hemodialysis Unit and presented gifts to the patients undergoing treatment there.
