On April 26, during the Quarter II round of the 26th year of “Road to Mount Olympia,” Ly Thai Duong—an 11th-grade Chemistry major at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted—excellently won the laurel wreath with 200 points, officially securing his place in the Grand Final.
Ly Thai Duong, an 11th-grade Chemistry student at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, triumphantly won the Quarter II laurel wreath.
Throughout the competition, the contestant from the Ancestral Land demonstrated great courage, sharp thinking, and effective tactics. In the “Obstacles” round, he impressed everyone by ringing the bell to answer within the first few seconds—before any hints were revealed—earning a full 60 points to take the lead. In the “Finish Line” round, Thai Duong maintained his steady form, providing accurate answers to consolidate his position and claim the overall victory.
Previously, Ly Thai Duong had won high prizes at the “Lac Hong Aspirations” intellectual playground (Season 4, 2025), organized by the Phu Tho Newspaper and Radio-Television. This highlight reflects his persistent and comprehensive learning process.
With this result, Ly Thai Duong becomes the first-ever contestant from Phu Tho Province to compete in the program’s Grand Final. This also marks the first time the province will host a live broadcast bridge point for the final match, a significant milestone for the province’s high-achieving education sector.
His achievement is not only a source of pride for his family and school but also contributes to spreading the spirit of studiousness and the ambition of the younger generation in the Ancestral Land.
