Gifting 500 Areca Leaf Sheath Fans to Tourists

On the occasion of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, on April 22, the Star Eco Ancestral Land Ecological Cooperative collaborated with the Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union to gift 500 eco-friendly areca leaf sheath fans to visitors, aiming to serve tourists and spread the message of "green living." This marks the second phase of this partnership during this year’s festival, bringing the total number of gifted fans to 1,000.

These fans are crafted from natural areca leaf sheaths, featuring a simple yet durable and lightweight design, ideal for the hot weather during the festival season. Beyond being a practical item to help residents and tourists cool down, the fans serve as a medium to promote environmental protection and discourage the use of single-use plastics.

The fan-gifting activity is part of a series of programs accompanying the festival, aimed at promoting local ecological products, raising public awareness of green consumption and sustainable development, and creating a positive image in the hearts of pilgrims from all over.

The annual Hung Temple Festival attracts millions of people coming to offer incense in memory of the Hung Kings. Utilizing eco-friendly products like areca leaf sheath fans not only helps minimize waste but also promotes traditional cultural beauty intertwined with nature conservation awareness, moving toward a civilized, green, and sustainable festival season.
