Preserving the Image of a Safe, Civilized, and Friendly Hung Temple Festival

With the determination to ensure that the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week takes place in a safe, orderly, and civilized manner, the province’s inter-disciplinary inspection teams have concurrently launched intensified inspections. These efforts aim to promptly rectify violations and enhance legal compliance among service-providing organizations and individuals.

Following Decision No. 892/QD-UBND dated March 21, 2026, by the Provincial People’s Committee, two inter-disciplinary teams have conducted inspections since April 10 across key areas including Viet Tri, Thanh Mieu, Van Phu, Nong Trang, Hy Cuong, Xuan Lung, Lam Thao, and Phu Ninh. Particular focus has been placed on the Hung Temple Historic Site and venues hosting activities during the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week.

The inspections target entities operating in fields such as: Culture; public services (karaoke, dance halls, performing arts, advertising); cultural publications; festival activities; tourist accommodations; travel agencies; and food and beverage services. In Viet Tri and Thanh Mieu wards, the teams worked with major establishments such as Muong Thanh Hotel, San Ho Restaurant, and Sen Vang Palace to review fire safety documentation, business registration, food hygiene, and environmental protection.

Through these inspections, the teams identified several shortcomings, including imported food items lacking supplier labels, karaoke rooms with internal locks, and food safety certificates nearing expiration. The teams provided immediate guidance for rectification. Mr. Do Van Hai, Director of Kim Thanh Nam Co., Ltd. and owner of Sen Vang Palace, shared: "Through the inspection, we have identified our areas for improvement. We commit to immediate rectification and strict compliance with legal regulations to project a civilized and safe image to tourists."

At the Hung Temple Historic Site, inspections focused on the origin of goods and the public listing of prices at accommodations and service points. Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, Head of Professional Division 5 (Provincial Inspectorate) and Leader of Inspection Team No. 1, stated that they required business owners to sign commitments regarding fire prevention, environmental hygiene, and the prohibition of counterfeit or low-quality goods. Notably, the teams reminded vendors to strictly avoid selling joss paper (votive paper) or raw food, and prohibited informal currency exchange or gambling disguised as games of chance.

According to preliminary reports, as of April 16, 2026, the teams have inspected 64 establishments, including 32 restaurants, 23 accommodations, and 9 karaoke venues. The inter-disciplinary teams will continue their operations through April 26 (the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month) to ensure comprehensive control during the festival’s peak. This drastic and synchronized involvement of functional forces not only rectifies violations but also builds the image of the Hung Temple Festival as a safe, civilized, and friendly destination—worthy of being the sacred gathering point and pride of the nation.
