On April 18, at the Vinh Phuc College of Technology, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs, organized the 2026 Phu Tho Career Guidance, Admissions, and Labor Supply-Demand Connectivity Program. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu – Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – along with representatives from various departments, higher education and vocational institutions, high schools, and nearly 2,000 students and numerous businesses from both within and outside the province.

During the conference, a seminar on career guidance and job placement clarified human resource demands and the current state of training to meet the province’s labor market needs. Several key cooperation agreements were signed, including a joint program on training and supplying human resources between the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Home Affairs, the Industrial Zones Management Board, and the Investment Promotion and Business Support Center. Other significant pacts included customized training orders between vocational schools and enterprises, as well as labor supply contracts between the Phu Tho Employment Service Center and businesses.

The program featured 30 counseling booths from various educational institutions and enterprises, providing direct information on admissions and recruitment. This helped students access suitable learning and career opportunities while strengthening the link between regulatory bodies, training providers, and employers in utilizing skilled labor.
Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu emphasized that Phu Tho identifies high-quality human resource development as one of its three strategic breakthroughs. This serves as the foundation for the province to become a primary growth pole for the Capital Region and the Northern Midlands and Mountains, while driving growth in industry, logistics, tourism, and high-tech training.

To realize these goals, he requested the Education sector to streamline the school system and innovate curricula by increasing practical training and applying Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence. He also urged the development of a “Training – Internship – Employment” ecosystem. The Vice Chairman assigned the Department of Home Affairs to finalize the Human Resource Development Scheme and enhance labor demand forecasting. For educational institutions, he stressed the need to align training with practical reality and increase student internships at enterprises. Furthermore, he called upon the business community to fulfill their social responsibility by participating deeply in training processes, from curriculum design to recruitment, thereby narrowing the gap between education and practical demand.
According to recent statistics, following the administrative merger, the province now hosts 5 universities, 29 colleges and intermediate schools, and over 40 vocational training centers. Each year, these institutions supply approximately 35,000 trained laborers to the market. Notably, the rate of trained laborers reached 73.3% in 2025. This program serves as a vital bridge between learners, schools, and the labor market, helping students define clear career paths as Phu Tho enters a new stage of development.
