Phu Tho Promotes Cooperation with 360 Security Technology Group (China)

On the afternoon of April 14, in Beijing (China), a high-level delegation from Phu Tho Province, led by Mr. Tran Duy Dong — Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee — visited and worked with 360 Security Technology Group (Qihoo 360). The delegation was received by Mr. Zhao Kun, CEO of 360 Group, along with senior executives.

During the working session, Chairman Tran Duy Dong provided an overview of Phu Tho Province’s current standing. With an area of over 9,300 $km^2$, a population of over 4 million, and an economic scale ranking 6th in Vietnam—hosting over 700 FDI projects—Phu Tho is firmly establishing itself as the economic hub of the Northern Midland and Mountainous region.

He emphasized that Phu Tho is not only the cultural cradle of the nation, home to UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritages, but also a strategic trade gateway on the Kunming - Hanoi - Haiphong economic corridor.

With an economic growth rate of 10.52% in 2025 (ranking 4th nationwide), Phu Tho is becoming a “magnet” for FDI, particularly high-tech projects from China such as BYD and Pacific Group.

Chairman Tran Duy Dong affirmed: "Phu Tho considers science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the primary drivers of growth." The province is steadfast in implementing its three strategic breakthroughs, with a particular priority on perfecting digital infrastructure, ensuring data security, and protecting national digital sovereignty.

Expressing high regard for 360 Group’s stature—especially its AI technologies and cybersecurity solutions—the Chairman expressed his desire to establish a substantive partnership. The province expects that 360 Group’s leading expertise in AI, IoT, and digital security will support Phu Tho in developing smart cities and protecting critical information systems.

With the motto “The success of the enterprise is the success of the province,” Mr. Tran Duy Dong committed that Phu Tho always regards investors as long-term strategic partners. The province is ready to provide “clean” land funds across 30 large-scale industrial zones alongside attractive incentive policies to welcome world-leading technology corporations.

During the session, both parties discussed solutions for digital transformation, e-government, and smart urban management. The delegation also explored 360 Group’s global client network and its partnerships with major Chinese firms such as Huawei and Oppo.

The leadership of 360 Group expressed their impression of Phu Tho’s rapid growth and the modern governance mindset of its leaders. Both sides believe that this meeting will lay a solid foundation for effective cooperation, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

This visit not only opens opportunities for the province to access advanced technological solutions but also demonstrates the provincial leadership’s commitment to accompanying high-tech investors to realize breakthroughs in digital infrastructure and local digital sovereignty.
