These days, the working atmosphere at the Provincial Library is urgent and vibrant. With the goal of creating a unique cultural space for readers and tourists to experience, contributing to the success of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration - Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, the library staff is working tirelessly to finalize preparations for large-scale displays and book fairs.
Staff of the Provincial Library actively prepare various tasks to contribute to the success of the Hung Kings' Commemoration.
Visiting the library, one can feel a new surge of energy. Unlike its usual quietude, the space is bustling with discussions on design and setup. Amidst high stacks of categorized books, panels, and backdrops, the staff are diligently at work—some meticulously selecting representative titles on the history and culture of the Ancestral Land, while others skillfully prepare materials for children’s experiential activities.
Ms. Bich Hanh, a library officer, shared: "This is one of our largest exhibitions, so everyone is working proactively from conceptualization to execution. We all feel proud to contribute to introducing the cultural beauty of our homeland to compatriots nationwide."

Provincial Library employees select and arrange suitable books for display at the 2026 Ancestral Land Book Fair.
This year, the Provincial Library has been entrusted with presiding over two key cultural highlights within the framework of the Hung Kings' Commemoration. Among these, the 2026 Ancestral Land Book Fair carries the theme "Connecting Knowledge, Developing in the New Era." The book fair is envisioned not merely as a display venue but as an interactive space between readers and knowledge.
Scheduled to take place from April 17 to April 21, 2026 (the 1st to the 5th of the third lunar month), the fair features a variety of engaging satellite activities: dramatized storytelling sessions about young historical heroes; a book-inspired painting contest themed “The Miraculous World from Pages”; and notably, STEM activities focused on creating products from recycled materials. Other highlights include reading skill workshops for children, handmade craft experiences, the “Path of Knowledge” journey, cultural spaces, and traditional Vietnamese folk games.
In addition, a document display and publication showcase themed “Phu Tho - Converging Traditions, Radiating the Future” will be held. This space will gather representative documents, books, and newspapers about Phu Tho Province and Northern mountainous localities. This exhibition will run from April 17 to April 26, 2026 (the 1st to the 10th of the third lunar month).
Mr. Mai Van Trung, Director of the Provincial Library, stated: "The activities organized by the Library during this occasion aim to educate the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” paying tribute to the Hung Kings and ancestors who contributed to building and defending the nation. Through the book fair and experiential activities, we hope to widely promote the historical and cultural values of the nation’s roots. This is also an opportunity for the Provincial Library to affirm its role in developing the reading movement and forming reading habits in the community, especially among the younger generation."
To ensure the success of these events, the Provincial Library has developed detailed plans and assigned specific tasks to each specialized department. Communication efforts have been intensified across various channels to keep the public and tourists informed of the schedule. Furthermore, the Library plans to select and support information resources for three disadvantaged communes within the province to establish “Community Bookcases”—a meaningful gesture to spread the spirit of solidarity during this major national festival.
With thorough preparation and a high sense of responsibility from its staff, the Provincial Library promises to deliver an impressive cultural space, leaving a lasting and positive impression on every Vietnamese person returning to their ancestral roots this festival season.
