On the evening of April 24 (the 8th day of the 3rd lunar month), the “Van Phu - Heritage Rendezvous” program took place at the Lai Len Temple space in Van Phu Ward. This activity, part of the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, aims to honor and promote the unique traditional cultural heritages of the homeland.
Provincial leaders present flowers to the artisans, artists, and performers.
The event was attended by: Ms. Bui Thị Minh – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Son – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Ms. Nguyen Thị Cam Phuong – Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; and other senior provincial leaders, alongside representatives from various departments, artisans, and a large audience.
The program also brought together prominent art troupes from the original Xoan guilds of Phu Tho, the Diem Village Quan Ho Club (Bac Ninh), and the Thai Binh Cheo Theater, creating a multi-regional cultural exchange space rich in identity.
Van Phu is a land of rich traditions, preserving many tangible and intangible cultural heritages imbued with the Hung King era, particularly Xoan Singing — a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Organizing this program not only honors these heritages but also provides an opportunity for folk art forms to interact, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional values in contemporary life.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, a series of unique artistic performances provided the audience with an emotional cultural journey. From the rustic and deep melodies of Xoan Singing associated with the Worship of Hung Kings to the sweet Quan Ho lyrics of the Kinh Bac region, the spiritual colors of Chau Van art, and the traditional resonance of Cheo... all blended to create a diverse and vibrant cultural tapestry.
A highlight of the program was the interaction between artisans, artists, delegates, and the public, creating a close-knit atmosphere and bringing heritage closer to the community. The Xoan melodies echoing in the sacred space of Lai Len Temple were not merely performances but a continuation of the cultural lineage passed down through generations.
“Van Phu - Heritage Rendezvous” concluded with deep resonance, leaving a beautiful impression on the audience. More than just an art night, the event affirmed the role of cultural heritage in tourism development and in building the image of a rich, friendly, and attractive Ancestral Land.
Unique artistic performances presented by artisans, artists, and performers from within and outside the province.
