Opening Ceremony of the Red River Festival - Vietnam – China Cooperation Week in the Red River Basin 2025

From 21 to 22 November , the Opening Ceremony of the “Red River Festival - Vietnam – China Cooperation Week in the Red River Basin 2025 and Cooperation Dialogue with Localities in the Vietnam – China Red River Basin” took place at the Ho Thai Binh International Convention Center (Maitreya City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China).

The Red River Festival - Vietnam – China Cooperation Week in the Red River Basin is a crucial mechanism for localities on both sides to enhance understanding, promote infrastructure and supply chain connectivity, and contribute to building a shared prosperous economic corridor.

At the ceremony, representatives exchanged views and introduced their potential and strengths in various fields of economic and cultural development, aiming to foster the relationship and local cooperation between China and Vietnam in the Red River Basin in the coming time.

Also within the framework of the “Red River Festival - China – Vietnam Cooperation Week in the Red River Basin 2025,” the Cooperation Dialogue Conference between the Chinese and Vietnamese localities in the Red River Basin was held. Accordingly, at the conferences dedicated to specific sectors, leaders from the departments and sectors of the Vietnamese provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Phu Tho, and Ninh Binh, and leaders of the prefectures and cities of Yunnan Province, China, exchanged views and shared experiences to promote relations and enhance cooperative support for mutual development in areas such as: China – Vietnam Media Cooperation in the Red River Basin; the China – Vietnam Industrial Park Cooperation Alliance Conference in the Red River Basin.

Also held were a Business Roundtable on Foreign Investment Promotion Activities and the Honghe Prefecture Border Trade Fair 2025, and a conference to promote exchange and accelerate the implementation of the Vietnam – China Trade and Logistics Alliance Cooperation in the Red River Basin 2026.
