Phu Tho Opens the Second Agricultural Product Exhibition and Promotion Week 2026

On the evening of 10 July, at the Tam Dao National Tourist Area in Tam Dao Commune, the Phu Tho Provincial Farmers' Union officially opened the Second Phu Tho Agricultural Product Exhibition, Promotion and Market Connectivity Week 2026 under the theme "Farmers of the Ancestral Land – Connecting with Tam Dao Tourism – Promoting the Value of Agricultural Products."

The event opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by provincial leaders and delegates.

Running from 10 to 12 July, the event serves as a trade promotion programme to showcase Phu Tho’s agricultural products, OCOP products and local specialties to consumers and tourists. It also provides cooperatives, cooperative groups, enterprises and producers with opportunities to connect with distributors, expand market access and enhance the value of local agricultural products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Duc Cong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial Farmers' Union, stressed that in the current development context, agriculture should focus not only on increasing production but also on creating greater value through brand building, integrating agricultural production with tourism and services, and accelerating digital transformation.

He noted that organising the exhibition and promotion week at the Tam Dao National Tourist Area takes advantage of one of the province’s leading tourist destinations to introduce agricultural products in a vivid and effective way, helping expand consumption markets and improve farmers' incomes.

This year’s event features more than 30 exhibition booths representing farmers' unions, cooperatives, enterprises, OCOP producers and manufacturing establishments from across Phu Tho Province, together with exhibitors from Lao Cai and Lam Dong provinces. On the opening night alone, hundreds of safe agricultural products were sold.

Throughout the event, a range of trade promotion activities is being organised, including business networking sessions, product promotion programmes and livestream sales on digital platforms, enabling enterprises, cooperatives and farmers to connect with distribution networks and broaden their market reach.

The exhibition showcases a wide variety of safe agricultural products, OCOP-certified goods and regional specialties, contributing to the promotion and consumption of local products while supporting the development of tourism in Tam Dao.

Through the event, the Provincial Farmers' Union aims to strengthen connections between production and markets, agriculture and tourism, thereby enhancing the value and reputation of local agricultural brands, promoting modern and sustainable agricultural development, and contributing to the building of new-style rural areas.
