Vice Chairman of the PPC Vu Viet Van inspects the proposed location for expanding Tien Dung Road, Thanh Mieu Ward.

According to the approved master plan, Tien Dung Road features a cross-section of 20.5 meters, comprising a 10.5-meter roadway and 10-meter sidewalks on both sides. Within the 1/500-scale detailed construction plan for the Van Lang Sky Lake Urban Residential Area Project, Tien Dung Road is identified as external connecting traffic infrastructure for the project.

According to a report from the Department of Construction, the section of Tien Dung Road proposed for expansion has a length of approximately 140 meters, with a widening scope ranging from 1 meter to 5 meters measured from the outer edge of the existing Van Lang Park sidewalk. The area intended for expansion involves green space land, a transformer station, and power systems within the boundaries of Van Lang Park.

Through review, the Department of Construction evaluated that the option to widen Tien Dung Road’s roadway is fundamentally consistent with the sub-zone planning. However, it is not yet consistent with the project’s 1/500-scale detailed plan due to changes in land-use demand for technical infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to review and adjust the plan under regulatory procedures to serve as a legal basis for executing the Tien Dung Road expansion.

On-site, provincial leaders alongside departments, sectors, and local authorities examined the current state of the area, exchanging views on traffic organization schemes, land-use for green spaces, relocation of technical infrastructure works, and contents requiring planning adjustments.

Following the inspection, PPC Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the Department of Construction to coordinate with the Thanh Mieu Ward People’s Committee and relevant units to thoroughly review documentation and planning, finalizing the adjustment scheme in strict compliance with regulations. During the research and adjustment process, the overall integrity of the urban space must be guaranteed; attention must be paid to maintaining and rationally allocating public institutions, green space areas, parking lots, and technical infrastructure to simultaneously satisfy traffic organization needs, guarantee the quality of living spaces, and serve the public’s demand for public amenities.

The PPC Vice Chairman emphasized that studying the scheme must be placed within the broader context of urban development, ensuring synchronization among transport, green spaces, public institutions, parking lots, and technical infrastructure; thereby addressing immediate traffic requirements while fulfilling long-term regional development needs.
