On the afternoon of August 18, Comrade Vu Viet Van — Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) — chaired a conference to hear the Department of Construction report on several contents regarding social housing and urban development projects across the province.

At the conference, the Department of Construction reported on contents relating to land-using investment projects and the tracking table for implementation progress regarding investor selection activities for the Lap Dinh Lake Mixed-Use Eco-Tourism Urban Area Project in Xuan Hoa Ward.

The project features a land use scale of approximately 525.84 hectares, oriented to construct a mixed-use eco-tourism urban area with synchronized technical and social infrastructure, forming a new urban space combining commercial, service, eco-tourism, and public amenity functions.

Concluding this item, PPC Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van requested the Department of Construction and relevant agencies/units to continue thoroughly reviewing the planning, structure, and areas of functional zones within the project; paying special attention to securing lake protection corridors/belts, protecting protection forest areas, and preserving landscape and natural environment elements. On that basis, project information must be finalized strictly and in alignment with planning frameworks and legal provisions, serving as a foundation to execute selection steps and attract competent investors to effectively exploit the area’s potential.

The conference also heard the Department of Construction report on appraisal results for investment policy approval while simultaneously assigning the investor for the Hung Vuong Social Housing Project in Area 5, Van Phu Ward.

The project covers an area of approximately 1.905 hectares, with an estimated total investment of over VND 570 billion. Within this, the social housing area spans approximately 10,663 m2, investing in 2 apartment buildings (15 above-ground floors and 1 basement), providing about 420 social housing units. The project also invests in 26 5-story adjacent commercial housing structures across an area of about 2,666 m2, alongside synchronized technical infrastructure. The project is projected for implementation from Q4/2026 through the end of Q4/2029.

Next, leaders of the Department of Construction reported on implementation progress for the Dong A Viet Tri Social Housing Project in Van Phu Ward. The project covers an area of 3.04 hectares, with an estimated total investment of over VND 807 billion. According to the proposed scheme, the project invests in constructing 2 9-story social housing structures (plus 1 rooftop penthouse tier), with a total construction floor area of roughly 56,893 m2, providing approximately 644 apartment units. Concurrently, the project invests in a 1-story community house, a 3-story kindergarten, a 4-story commercial service structure, and synchronized technical infrastructure. The population scale stands at around 2,254 residents. The project is slated for deployment from Q4/2026 through the end of Q4/2028.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and providing feedback regarding project scale, investment schemes, planning alignment; land, site clearance, technical infrastructure, execution timelines, and statutory conditions for project deployment.

Delivering concluding remarks, PPC Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van acknowledged the proactiveness and efforts of the Department of Construction and investors in coordinating to finalize project dossiers. He requested the Department of Construction to continue coordinating with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to thoroughly review documentation, ensuring full compliance with prescribed conditions, sequences, and procedures; finalizing dossiers early for submission to competent authorities for consideration and approval to enable project deployment, thereby contributing to supplementing housing supply and fulfilling the province’s social housing development targets.
