Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duy Dong inspects the implementation of Doan Hung Industrial Park Project

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duy Dong, together with the working delegation, inspected the site proposed for Phase 1 implementation of the Doan Hung Industrial Park Project located in Tay Coc Commune.

The Investment Project on Construction and Infrastructure Business of Doan Hung Industrial Park has a total land use area of 495.0 hectares (Doan Hung Commune: 139.21 ha; Tay Coc Commune: 355.79 ha), including 475.67 ha for the construction of industrial park infrastructure and approximately 19.33 ha for the planned Provincial Road 323B. The registered investment capital is VND 4,887 billion (equivalent to USD 185 million), invested by Amata Group (Thailand). The project implementation schedule is no more than 60 months from the date of land allocation, land lease, or land-use conversion. Investment phases: Phase 1 (2025–2029) covers 239.43 ha; Phase 2 (2030–2033) covers approximately 236.24 ha. Within the project area, around 398 households will need to be relocated (Doan Hung Commune: 98 households; Tay Coc Commune: 300 households).

The delegation inspected the planned area of Ngoc Quan Industrial Cluster; the areas proposed for Phase 1 and Phase 2 implementation of the Doan Hung Industrial Park Project in Doan Hung and Tay Coc Communes; the current and future transportation systems connecting to the project area; the current land-use status, especially existing residential areas within the project boundary; and the areas proposed for the construction of resettlement zones and specialty pomelo-growing areas of neighboring communes.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duy Dong acknowledged and commended departments, sectors, the investor, and localities for their close coordination in implementing the contents of the “Strategic Investment Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding” between the Provincial People’s Committee and Amata Group. The Chairman generally agreed with the proposed project location and requested relevant departments, sectors, the People’s Committees of Doan Hung Commune and Tay Coc Commune, Amata Group, and the consulting unit to continue reviewing, surveying, and thoroughly assessing the current land-use situation within the project area; planning the resettlement zones, particularly the lot sizes, construction density, and investment cost norms in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Construction. In particular, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive and detailed assessment of the project, including the estimated budget revenue for the province during project implementation, investment attraction, and the socio-economic efficiency the project will bring.

The Chairman also assigned departments and sectors to work with the investor to clarify that, in addition to the existing commitment that “the investor is oriented towards attracting projects in the fields of high technology and environmentally friendly industries; allocating at least 30% of the industrial land area of the Industrial Park for the Phu Tho provincial authorities to consider attracting high-tech, information technology, electrical – electronic, automobile, and semiconductor industries, along with other sectors that create high added value for Phu Tho Province,” the types of industries expected to be attracted to the Industrial Park must ensure conformity with the investment attraction orientation of the province and must not affect the specialty pomelo-growing areas of the communes surrounding the Industrial Park.
