Checking the progress of some projects in Phu Ninh District

On May 22, Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee inspected the progress of a number of projects in Phu Ninh District.

The project to renovate, reinforce and upgrade Au Co road is invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, with a total length of over 40km passing through Viet Tri city and Phu Ninh and Doan Hung districts, with a total investment of over 2,200 billion VND, and to be completed in 2025. The project includes 2 phases: Phase I deploys construction from Ben Got ward, Viet Tri city to Tien Du intersection, Phu Ninh district; Phase II from Tien Du intersection to Soc Dang commune, Doan Hung district. Current phase I construction progress reaches 75.4%; Phase II reaches 90%. For the section through Phu Ninh district, the project still has more than 3km of land that has not been cleared and lacks over 380,000m3 of land for roadbed construction and resettlement areas.

Commenting on this content, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested Phu Ninh district to urgently count, make a compensation plan, and complete site clearance for the entire route by the end of June 2024. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with Phu Ninh district to prepare a report and propose a plan to handle soil and embankment for the project, determined to open the route by the end of December 2024.

Checking the planned location of Phu Ninh Industrial Park with an expected scale of 410 hectares, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized: Phu Ninh Industrial Park is a key industrial park of the province. When completed, it will create more jobs for local workers and promote economic and social growth. Therefore, it is necessary to promote propaganda work and create consensus among the people in site clearance and project implementation on schedule. When building infrastructure, the investor must calculate the balance of excavation and embankment of the industrial park based on the existing terrain. At the same time, focus on attracting investors with financial potential and environmental friendliness to invest in, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the area.

Also in the working program, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Quang and the working group inspected the progress of the Household Waste Treatment Plant Project to generate electricity in Tram Than commune. Currently, the project has completed about 87% of the work volume, and is expected to complete basic construction and install the plant equipment in September, and begin operation in December 2024.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested the investor to coordinate closely with Phu Ninh district to pay compensation costs for people, complete and hand over the site for the construction of 110KV line projects outside the plant and water pipeline. At the same time, develop plans to mobilize human resources, facilities and operate the plant, ensuring the project to be completed on schedule as committed to the province.
