Immediately after receiving the Prime Minister’s Decision on promulgating the set of criteria for evaluating and classifying products of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program and the Provincial People’s Committee’s plan on implementing the Phu Tho Province’s OCOP Program for the 2021-2025 period, Tam Nong district has quickly deployed and implemented policies to support the program.
The district promotes propaganda about the purpose and meaning of the OCOP program so that all people and socio-economic organizations can see the benefits, economic value, and humanistic value of their participation. At the same time, coordinate with functional units to organize training on digital transformation applications in product development and commercial promotion of OCOP products for district-level program implementation officers and participants in localities; Periodically inspect food hygiene and safety at the models and evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
The district focuses on supporting people in registering ideas, developing and perfecting them to enhance product value. Implementing solutions to promote linkages in production and consumption of products to develop the economy in rural areas and increase people’s income. Focus on consolidating and upgrading products participating in OCOP to meet product quality criteria as prescribed. For OCOP certified products, the district focuses on supporting entities to develop markets and distribution channels for OCOP products. At the same time, continue to support, upgrade and develop advantageous OCOP products such as: Melon, baby cucumber, Bombax ceiba mistletoe, sour fish, honey, Cordyceps mushroom... to participate in a higher star rating.
For potential products such as: Lam Son hill chicken, chicken eggs, Japanese cucumbers, bananas, tea, lotus products... conduct evaluation and classification of products, especially products that have trademarks registered, announced product and goods quality standards, thereby focusing on prioritizing support, upgrading, standardization, development, and branding for typical products, specialties, key products and strong products in the direction of association in the production and consumption of agricultural products; Encourage the development of forms of production organization in cooperative groups and cooperatives; Support the development of rural craft villages associated with tourism services such as ecological farm tourism, landscape experience tourism at 2 locations: lotus pond - palm forest - tea hills in Di Nau commune, intangible culture experience tourism such as “Van Lang Laughing Village” in Van Xuan commune, Gheo singing in Nam Cuong village... Focus on promoting and marketing products through participating in OCOP product fairs and exhibitions; Build points and centers to promote, introduce and sell OCOP products at district level; Promote e-commerce applications, participate in programs to introduce, promote and consume products through e-commerce trading floors, online sales, and online fairs...
Along with that, the district concretizes the mechanisms and policies to support agricultural and rural development of the Central Government and the province related to the program to build and develop OCOP products. Focus on supporting entities to purchase machinery, equipment, production lines, and hire technical staff to train participants; Support for building logos, product brands, printing labels, product packaging, registering barcodes, electronic stamps to trace product origins (QR code); Implement the reward policy for OCOP rated products. During the 2021-2023 period, the District People’s Committee has presented and been recognized by the Provincial People’s Committee for 13 3-star products from 11 subjects. Total capital amount mobilized for implementation of the program in the 2021-2023 period is more than 1.3 billion VND.
