Developing sustainable industrial complexes

Recently, the province has paid special attention to the management and development of industrial complexes in the area, from which the technical infrastructure of industrial complexes has gradually been invested synchronously, creating a clean land fund, attracting investment in production and business, and contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Implementing state management of industry, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with relevant departments, branches, and localities to closely monitor and grasp the situation, review the investment progress, and operational efficiency of industrial complexes in the area to ensure compliance with the actual conditions in the locality, effective land use and compliance with legal regulations, especially regulations on environmental protection, land and construction. Strengthen inspection and speed up the progress of investment in industrial complex infrastructure in the province and attract secondary investors. At the same time, the Department has promptly monitored the production situation of enterprises, timely given advice and suggested solutions to overcome difficulties in the production process.

To create favorable conditions for investors in industrial complexes, districts focus on doing a good job of providing planning information, geographical indications, and flexibly applying mechanisms and policies to attract businesses to invest in. At the same time, increase meetings and dialogues with businesses, promote administrative reform, advertise and promote investment, on that basis to selectively attract quality and sustainable investment projects.

In recent times, investment has been focused on infrastructure outside industrial complexes, especially the transportation system connecting with expressways, national highways and provincial roads, creating favorable conditions for development. The province has attracted and invited a number of investors to implement industrial complex infrastructure investment projects. Some project items have been completed, basically meeting essential requirements, serving the investment and production roadmap of businesses.

To date, in the province, 27 industrial complexes have been established, expanded and implemented to invest in infrastructure construction, attracting production and business projects to the industrial complexes. Total registered investment capital for construction of technical infrastructure of industrial complexes in the area is over 14,600 billion VND. Active industrial complexes have attracted 164 investment projects, including 99 domestic investment projects, with a total registered capital of over 10,000 billion VND; 65 FDI projects with a registered capital of over 755 million USD. Until now, there have been 118 projects in operation, creating stable jobs for over 27,000 workers. The occupancy rate of industrial land in industrial complexes in the area reached over 55%.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, to develop industrial complexes in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with departments, branches and localities to continue to focus on effectively implementing breakthroughs in strong improvement of business investment environment, attracting resources for investment and development. Promote propaganda and raise awareness of the position and role of industry as an important sector contributing to the economic growth and provincial budget revenue, creating jobs for local workers... Continue to improve administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for investors doing business in industrial complex infrastructure to easily access preferential policies, supporting investors in compensation, site clearance, and establishment procedures of industrial complexes.
