Phu Tho is focusing on implementing Resolution No. 41/2025/NQ-HDND, dated November 25, 2025, issued by the Provincial People’s Council on policies to support agricultural and rural development for the 2026–2030 period. The support policies are being implemented to encourage individuals, cooperatives and businesses to increase investment in production, improve the productivity and quality of agricultural products, and gradually establish concentrated commodity production areas linked to processing and product distribution.
One of the key areas of implementation is support for the development of production involving major crops. To date, 620 hectares of pomelo and orange-growing areas have received support for intensive cultivation and measures to improve productivity and product quality.

The tea-growing area in Long Coc Commune is undergoing intensive cultivation and replanting to improve productivity and quality.
For tea production, the province is implementing a policy to support replanting and intensive cultivation to improve productivity and quality across a total area of 375 hectares. Of this, 25 hectares are newly planted and 350 hectares are undergoing intensive cultivation. The policy contributes to the renovation of tea-growing areas, improves the quality of raw materials, gradually meets market requirements and supports the development of higher-value-added tea products. In addition, the province is providing support for planting 100 hectares of new sugarcane.
In rice production, a policy supporting the provision of quality rice varieties for the 2026 summer-autumn crop has been implemented across more than 13,000 hectares. This is one of the large-scale support programs, helping farmers access quality seed varieties, improve production efficiency and gradually establish high-yield, high-quality commercial rice production areas.

In line with the orientation of Resolution No. 41, the agricultural and rural development support policies for the 2026–2030 period are creating momentum for individuals, organizations, cooperatives and businesses to increase investment in agriculture. At the same time, the policies aim to improve the quality of OCOP products, develop value-chain-based production and accelerate the shift from small-scale farming toward modern, commercial and sustainable agriculture.
With support covering a wide range of major crops, together with priority given to quality seed varieties and solutions for intensive cultivation and replanting, the program is creating better conditions for farmers to improve the productivity, quality and value of agricultural products. This also provides an important foundation for Phu Tho to continue developing concentrated production areas linked with processing, brand building and the expansion of consumer markets in the coming years.
