Red chili peper season
Exported chili pepper cultivation model in Vinh Lai commune, Lam Thao district has entered its first harvest. Amidst the vast green vegetables, the fresh chili peppers gradually colored the whole 30 hectares of fields red, signaling a bumper crop.
With the ambition to ensure that Vietnamese agricultural products do not fall into “bumper crop, declining prices” situation, Northwestern Agriculture and Development Co.,Ltd. has established a chilli pepper cultivation area to export to the Korean and Japanese markets.
Planted according to VietGap standards, safe, proper process of export service.
The process of producing use organic fertilizer, pesticide eradication with biological preparations, ensuring no residue of plant protection chemicals.
The company signed with the exporting unit the output price of VND18,000/kg.
After the first harvest, the average yield reached 22 tons of chilli pepper per hectare, the expected profit reached VND200 million.
The model helps to solve the local vacancy of labor, the level of income of the harvester ranges from VND150,000 - 200,000/day.
Chilli pepers are easy-to-treat crops with fewer pests, yielding higher yields than rice plants.
The farmer is thrilled to get more jobs from the chilli pepper.
The cultivation for exports is being encouraged by Lam Thao district.
