Connecting to consume cooperative goods during Tet

To assist cooperatives in promoting and connecting product consumption during the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has directed assigned officials to monitor the collective economy of districts and cities, as well as review and statistics on the cooperative’s products to ensure quality and suitability for promotion and introduction.

Cooperative products are available for purchase at supermarkets, agents, and product launch outlets during Tet.

During Tet, cooperative products such as Doan Hung grapefruit, Thanh Son sour meat, Hung Lo rice noodles, Thach De rice noodles, Ga Gay sticky rice, Phu Thinh green tea, Da Hen green tea, Long Coc tea, Cam My tea, Dat To chung cake, meat products, vegetables, fruits... are considered to be popular among consumers. By the end of 2023, the province’s cooperative region will have more than 100 items that meet Provincial level OCOP requirements of three and four stars. Consumers strongly value many cooperative items due to their outstanding quality, shape, and design.

To support and accompany cooperatives in promoting trade and connecting product consumption during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, the Phu Tho Provincial Cooperative Alliance displays, promotes, and introduces cooperative products at localities events and fairs; promotes cooperative products on mass media and social networks; and encourages cooperatives to join in bringing Phu Tho agricultural products to a large number of consumers.

Mr. Cao Dang Duy, Director of Hung Lo Rice Noodles Cooperative in Viet Tri City, stated, "Through active communication and promotion activities over the past time, Hung Lo rice noodle products are now loved by consumers all over the world in every region known to the Fatherland." Currently, the amount of orders during Lunar New Year grew 3-4 times more than usual, therefore the cooperative is running at full machine capacity and working overtime to satisfy client demands. Every day, the cooperative makes and consumes around 4-5 tons of finished rice noodles.

Ms. Ha Thi Ngoc Diep, Deputy Director of Thanh Son Sour Meat Cooperative, stated, "This Tet year, the cooperative innovates and improves product packaging with new, small, and more attractive bags and wrappers. Furthermore, the cooperative introduced a new product line, sour meat with doi seeds, which combines the classic taste of sour meat with the scent of doi seeds, resulting in a unique flavor that produces the traditional Tet flavor."

In addition to familiar specialty products, this year’s Tet market features many new products from high-quality cooperatives, including Thanh Agricultural Food Cooperative Lam’s papaya flower tea and purple black raspberry tea, Lien Hoa Chi Production and Business Cooperative’s perilla leaf tea and celery tea, sticky rice products, wine, salted chicken...

Lunar New Year is the busiest shopping season of the year for customers, providing a chance for cooperatives to grow production, generate income, and promote products and brands. Cooperatives focus on increasing product quality, altering designs, aggressively boosting trade promotion, extending market share, diversifying methods to markets, and segmenting customers based on their preferences. Many customers would choose cooperative items with excellent quality, affordable pricing, and attractive designs as a result of consumption connection activities and marketing, particularly around Tet.
