Contribute to the modernization of industrial production

Science and technology (S&T) is a factor that plays an important role in transforming the growth model, improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of the economy. In Phu Tho province, science and technology policies contribute to promoting the development of sectors and fields, including the industry.

Thanh Lam Company Limited, Ngoc Quan commune, Doan Hung district is supported to innovate technology for producing laminated wood, minimizing emissions during the production process.

The province released numerous policies to support and direct the proper execution of scientific and technology policies for industrial growth, as well as to assist organizations, individuals, and businesses engaged in science and technology activities. The province has 12 provincial-level S&T tasks in the industrial sector approved for the 2018-2023 period, with a total implementation budget of over 14 billion VND, of which the provincial S&T budget supports 7.7 billion VND. Implementing the tasks resulted in the design and manufacture of a number of modern machines and production lines; the receipt, transfer, and application of 45 new technological processes, technical advances, and technical instructions into production practice and life; the construction of 17 application and transfer models; and the training of technical staff and technicians.

Over 60 technology innovation projects have been sponsored by programs to promote small and medium-sized enterprises in technological innovation since 2018, totaling more than 20 billion VND. Businesses transfer, assimilate, and master dozens of technologies and technological processes as a result of technological innovation activities, resulting in increased average labor productivity. Products developed using innovative technology have met both domestic market demands and the stringent standards of export markets.

A support program is implemented to promote productivity and product quality based on science, technology, and innovation from 2021 to 2025, in accordance with the Provincial People’s Committee’s Plan No. 4835/KH-UBND dated October 21, 2021. More than ten enterprises have received funding. Enterprises are assisted in developing and implementing management system documents, productivity and quality improvement tools, and product and goods traceability systems; developing product standards; implementing smart production technology; reducing waste in the manufacturing process; and saving on human resources, time, fuel, and energy. This improves both manufacturing efficiency and product competitiveness in the market.
