Implementing the project on developing the domestic market in conjunction with the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” has contributed to changing people’s consumption habits towards prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods, bringing the proportion of Vietnamese goods to a large market share in the goods consumed in the province. Thereby, contributing to curbing inflation, stabilizing the macroeconomy, ensuring supply and demand balance, especially for essential goods, and ensuring social security.
More than 80% of goods sold at GO! Viet Tri Supermarket are Vietnamese goods.
Implementing the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods,” all levels, sectors, and socio-political organizations have promoted propaganda to positively change the community’s awareness of Vietnamese goods and services. This shows that not only for consumers, but the campaign’s effects have had a positive impact on the business community, entrepreneurs, and people of all walks of life in the province in terms of their sense of responsibility in the production and consumption of Vietnamese goods. Many businesses have paid attention to improving product quality, design, packaging, and competitive prices compared to imported goods.
Mr. Kieu Quang Dat, Human Resources Director of Takao Granite Joint Stock Company, Thanh Uyen Commune, Tam Nong District, said, “The company was established more than 3 years ago with the main products being ceramic tiles and glazed roof tiles and has initially built a foundation and position in the industry. In order to produce products that are suitable for consumer tastes, the company has researched, applied, and operated modern production lines to produce safe products, meeting the maximum requirements as well as being suitable for the trends of users. Recently, the company was honored to receive the award “Top 5 National Famous Brands in 2024,” voted on by the Vietnam Institute for Development of Inventions and Technology Innovation. Thanks to that, the company now has nearly 200 distributors across 63 provinces and cities nationwide".
Determining that Vietnamese goods have enough conditions to dominate the market in the province in particular, domestically in general, and towards export, the Department of Industry and Trade always pays attention to and focuses on implementing communication programs, promoting products and goods of Vietnamese enterprises, providing information on market developments and prices of essential goods, and creating conditions for enterprises to have the opportunity to promote products and goods on mass media. Support the construction of fixed Vietnamese points of sale in the Vietnamese Pride Program. In 2024, support was given to build 5 Vietnamese points of sale called “Pride in Vietnamese goods, the quintessence of Vietnamese goods” in the districts of Thanh Son, Yen Lap, Doan Hung, Tan Son, and Ha Hoa. Maintaining the operation of the Phu Tho Province E-commerce Trading Floor (giaothuong.net.vn) as one of the trusted addresses to help enterprises promote their products to consumers. Up to now, the Floor has had more than 330 booths with more than 1,000 products and services.
Currently, the commercial infrastructure in the province has developed remarkably; the system of commercial centers, supermarkets, and convenience stores has increased rapidly, meeting the increasing demand for shopping and social consumption. Vietnamese goods have accounted for a fairly high proportion in the supermarket system in the province, maintaining over 80% of Vietnamese goods for sale in supermarkets and convenience stores. Market management continues to be promoted, contributing positively to the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor-quality goods, and illegal business activities, creating changes in the management of the quality of goods circulating in the market, protecting the rights of consumers, producers, and traders of Vietnamese goods.
According to Mr. Dang Viet Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, in order to continue to effectively implement the project on developing the domestic market in conjunction with the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods,” the Department of Industry and Trade continues to proactively coordinate with the Steering Committee of the Campaign in Phu Tho province, related sectors, organizations, associations, etc., to strengthen and diversify forms of propaganda about the campaign. Regularly monitor market developments, ensure a balance between supply and demand of goods circulation, implement trade promotion activities, search for markets, connect trade, build brands, and apply information technology, especially e-commerce, in production and business activities.
Along with that, develop a fixed and sustainable goods distribution system and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods and Vietnamese enterprises. Organize well the work of market inspection and control, combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods; promote and mobilize businesses to clearly understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to products and goods and the responsibility to protect consumer rights. Promote the development of modern commercial infrastructure and develop logistics systems to reduce costs and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods.
