Enhancing Coordination with Vietnamese Embassies in Russia, Norway, and Denmark to Boost Investment Attraction into Phu Tho Province

From August 31 to September 10, 2026, a working delegation from Phu Tho province led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Son—Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee—successfully organized an investment promotion and field study program in the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Norway, and the Kingdom of Denmark, while visiting and working with Vietnamese Embassies in the host countries.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien—Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Vi Manh Hung—Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of Phu Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television; Mr. Quach Tat Liem—Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; alongside leaders of several provincial departments and sectors.

Within the framework of the working trip, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Manh Son and the delegation held bilateral working sessions with the Vietnamese Embassies in Russia, Norway, and Denmark.

During the meetings, both sides exchanged in-depth views on foreign cooperation relations; potential connections with agencies, organizations, and the business community; while agreeing on solutions to strengthen coordination to promote cooperative relations between Phu Tho province and potential partners.

On behalf of the leadership of Phu Tho province, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Manh Son expressed sincere thanks to the Vietnamese diplomatic missions for their attention and active support, enabling the delegation’s working program to achieve high efficiency.

Providing a overview of Phu Tho’s potential, development space, and outstanding socio-economic development achievements following the regional merger, he expressed his desire for the Embassies to continue acting as reliable bridges—supporting the province in promoting a favorable investment and business environment, effectively connecting with local organizations and economic conglomerates, and contributing to realizing cooperation programs, trade promotion, and attracting high-quality FDI.

Highly appreciating Phu Tho’s proactivity, professionalism, and expanded development space following the merger, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Vietnam to the host countries affirmed: Assisting domestic localities in expanding foreign relations and attracting international resources is one of the top priority tasks.

Representatives of diplomatic missions committed to standing side-by-side with the province, boosting publicity to promote the image of the Ancestral Land; remaining ready to serve as bridges to help Phu Tho access suitable partners in sectors of strength such as high-tech industry, circular economy, smart agriculture, green transition, and agricultural exports.

At the same time, they committed to actively accompanying the province in concrete terms to implement agreements, bringing cooperative ties between Phu Tho and international partners into depth, substance, and efficiency.

Following the success of the Investment Promotion Conference in Moscow (Russian Federation), Deputy Secretary Nguyen Manh Son and the working delegation visited, worked, and conducted a field survey at Food Nation (Kingdom of Denmark).

Food Nation is Denmark’s leading prestigious non-profit public-private partnership (PPP) model, acting as a strategic “gateway” introducing the capabilities, technology, and advanced solutions of Denmark’s agriculture and food sector to the global market.

During the working session, the Phu Tho delegation focused on studying the core strengths of Danish agriculture, such as: sustainable organic agricultural development, circular economy, deep food processing technology, biotechnology application, stringent food safety, and particularly the tightly linked value chain model among “State – Enterprise – Research Institutes – Universities.”

Highly valuing Food Nation’s modern and efficient operational model, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Manh Son emphasized: These represent management experiences and value-connecting methods for Phu Tho to research, learn from, and apply to local realities.

In particular, as post-merger Phu Tho expands its development room, the province is orienting a strong shift from traditional agricultural production to high-tech, circular, and sustainable agricultural economics.

Solutions from Denmark will serve as important suggestions for Phu Tho to elevate its key agricultural products, specialty growing areas, and OCOP programs; step-by-step completing linkage chains, enhancing deep processing capacity, and opening pathways for Ancestral Land agricultural and food products to reach international markets.
