Golden season of grapefruit
At the end of October, all grapefruit gardens in Doan Hung district in general and Van Don commune in particular enter the harvest season. The yellow color of ripe grapefruits combined with sunlight mixed with green foliage creates a brilliant picture. The whole commune has 750 households growing grapefruits with an area of 161.13 hectares, mainly varieties of Cat Que grapefruit, Dien grapefruit with yellow shrimp, Dien grapefruit with green shrimp, green skin, and wrinkled leaf sugar...
From Van Don, grapefruits are transported and consumed in all provinces and cities, such as Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong... Many households in the commune are gradually switching to the safe production process of VietGAP, applying digital transformation in production, promotion, and consumption of products, contributing to increasing the value of grapefruit trees.
Grapefruit gardens in Van Don commune have begun to enter the harvest season.
The ripe grapefruits have a beautiful, plump appearance.
Mr. Dinh Quynh’s family, Zone 2, Van Don commune, has more than 400 green-skinned grapefruit, wrinkled-leaf grapefruit, green shrimp, and pink shrimp trees that are entering the harvest season. Each year, after deducting expenses, he earns more than VND500 million in profit.
More than 800 green-skinned grapefruit, wrinkled-leaf grapefruit, and yellow shrimp Dien trees of Mr. and Mrs. Trang-Dau’s family bring a stable source of income for the family.
The product has a traceability stamp.
Doan Hung grapefruit is packaged in boxes of 5-10 fruits, suitable as gifts.
The grapefruit segments are peeled and the delicious flavor is a characteristic of the product.
The product is consumed in many provinces and cities across the country.
