Implementing urgent measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau tasked for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

(en.baophutho.vn) - On October 19th, Mr. Bui Minh Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People"s Council, Head of the Provincial NA Delegation, Head of the Provincial steering committee for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control chaired a meeting to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic in the area.

Chairman of the Provincial People"s Committee Bui Van Quang spoke at the meeting.

According to the provincial Department of Health, as 6 a.m. of October 19th, 128 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the province since October 13th (98 in Viet Tri city, 22 in Lam Thao district, 8 in Phu Ninh district) with unknown sources of infection. There are a total of 1,176 cases of F1; 6,527 F2 and 1,604 F3; concentrated mainly in 14 communes, wards and towns of three above localities. The work of investigation, contact tracing, zoning and testing are being carried out urgently and drastically. The whole province is assessed at level 2 (yellow label), Viet Tri city at level 3 (orange label), districts of Lam Thao and Phu Ninh at level 2, the remaining districts and towns are level 1 (green label).

Director of Provincial Police Department, Colonel Pham Truong Giang reported at the meeting.

Addressing at the meeting, Secretary Bui Minh Chau said that the province"s COVID-19 prevention and control work is received attention and being directed by the Party and State leaders. Other provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang, etc. are also ready to support Phu Tho in case of large-scale testing needs.

Secretary highly praised the efforts of the health sector, the military force, the police, Viet Tri city, two districts of Phu Ninh and Lam Thao in the prevention and control of the pandemic over the past time. He emphasized: We must determine the spirit of living with the pandemic, based on the actual situation to continue to implement reasonable zoning, fast contact tracing, rapid testing, early control the pandemic and maintain socio-economic activities in the area.

Secretary requested the press agencies continue to propagate accurate and timely information so that people would not confused and worried, then proactively take measures to prevent the pandemic. Under Resolution 128 of the Government, there would be not to block localities, but only residential areas and narrow areas, implemting medical isolation of suitable subjects to reduce the number of affectedi areas.

To ensure the supply of essential necessities for the people, especially in Viet Tri city; developing plans for supply and circulation of goods with localities. The market management force strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of the epidemic situation to speculate, hoard goods and raise prices unreasonably.

Continue to quickly and well performing the zoning and testing of high-risk residential areas, industrial zones and clusters to maintain production and business, not to break the production chain.

Prioritize allocating vaccines to Viet Tri city, districts of Lam Thao and Phu Ninh, speeding the vaccinating progress of the entire population of vaccination age in high-risk localities.
